In this first video JZ along with her training partner Brandon demonstrate three easy workout that you can do at home, at the gym or on the road as a great way to increase your strength, flexibility, posture, alignment and muscle balance. You can work out along with Joanna and Brandon...all you need is a computer, iPad or Mobile device.

Ankle alignment/flexibility & proper foot strike are extremely important for runners because tight/misaligned ankles do not allow the glutes which extend the hip to work correctly. Most people develop very tight calf muscles, hamstrings, and symptoms of plantar fascitis or shin splints. Proper (Heel,Ball,& Toe) foot strike will improve from the ankle circles. Foot strike and posture are involuntary. As you do the ankle circles your alignment and foot strike will become stronger & more stable.

Thanks for your question. If the wall sit hurts your knees you need to walk your feet out further from the wall & you need to make sure your hips, knees, & ankles are straight in alignment. Make sure your feet do not turn out & are as straight as rulers. Most likely your feet are too close to the wall. Also, you can start higher up than a right angle. The work should be felt in the quadricep muscles & not the lower back or knee joints. Make sure your lower back is flat. Let me know how it goes
