It’s crazy to think I was a 15 year old sitting in my bedroom laughing at a girl screaming at her camera about what different bras mean and now I’m a *~*25 year old lady*~* getting to watch two grown adults in a healthy relationship be FUNNY doing literally whatever they want. Bel Lovegood I’ve seen people drag her. I don’t really think it has to do with luck. She’s in a very unique position for sure, very incredibly unique- but it’s just all her. There’s a level of honesty with her and her audience, a level of trust, there’s authenticity, she refuses to do mid-roll ads which really shows that this isn’t a money thing for her- she’s just doing what she likes and these things she ends up creating are either hilarious or they’re Shower Thoughts personified and people appreciate the fuckery of it. When I got the notification for this, I was listening to an old podcast, one of the "mild ones" podcasts in the background as I work on homework, and jenna was talking about how there were things that she just couldnt do, because she was afraid people wouldnt watch. Ive been watching Jenna now since...2012? 2011? It's amazing how far things have come. From me being in middle school watching "things girls lie about" or whatever to listening to truly insightful and interesting(and funny!!) podcasts while I work on my masters degree sort of makes me tear up??? For all of those wondering what happened to their spooky podcasts, they were either removed or copywriter stricken (the answer as to which is unclear). They talked about it on their twitter account, but essentially they did not realize that all r/nosleep stories belong to their owners (these are not always random people just posting to reddit, they are talented writers and authors who are entitled to protect their work/property) and that they are explicitly not allowed to repost, narrate, translate, etc without the owners permission, and they did not have permission to read them. I’m not sure why Spotify deleted all of their podcasts but I’m sure it stems from this. They are working on it behind the scenes to resolve any issues with any artists who were hurt by their mistake.

I hope you or Julien see it one day: It bothers me to think that you ever felt like you’d become old news or washed up if you decided to take a break from work like a human being. I always forget hes significantly younger than her, because hes only a year older than me. 7 years ago I went through some really hard times. I have looked forward to wednesday/thursdays because jenna always makes me laugh watching her videos and sometimes that would be the only time I would laugh or smile the whole week. I’m a nurse during night shift and I can tell you a million stories about sundowning patients. Unfortunate reality of aging and dementia, it’s stressful af, but we gotta keep them safe from themselves cause they are so impulsive. It’s really upsetting when we have to turn to stuff like Ativan or Haldol cause though it’s a temporary fix, it can make the problem worse in the long run. I’m so lucky that my withdrawal patients have been such sweethearts.
