Cathy S. I feel like he regrets that part of his life, it was when he tried to look really pretty for KZbin, maybe he feels embarrassed that he cared so much what others thought, or maybe he knows he doesn’t need to look attractive for anyone because he has Jenna. Idk. He also used to kiss Jenna a lot on camera, he doesn’t do it at all now...yeah maybe he doesn’t like the attention.

Tbh neither of them are wrong. There are genetic factors that influence your hair texture, strength, and other qualities, but not explicitly length. The myth that genetically control how long your hair can grow comes from the fact that your hair qualities result in a certain durability. Once hair has been exposed to life for a long enough time, it tends to thin or break.

When I was a freshman in HS, I was on the softball team and we had a team sleep over. My hair was down to my butt and a friend of mine braided a pony tail before every game. 5 years later, I worked for a day with a girl that was a senior on the team during that time and she told me that the older girls almost cut off my pony tail in my sleep. Thankfully they didn’t because I was growing it to donate it for for wigs on my birthday at the end of the season. Long story short, I agree with the opinion that cutting someone else’s hair is a very mean-spirited prank.

To be fair, I loved my ending where Daniel and Sean got what they wanted. Sean made a new life in Porto Lobos and Daniel got the family life and stability he needed. Although it was sad they got split up. I loved your ending too and I’m so glad you played it how you wanted and didn’t bow down to pressure
@DreamOnAStarXx

That was my ending too & honestly my favorite ending out of them all. In the surrender ending, yeah Daniel is free but Sean wastes away in prison, and then they reconnect for one day before splitting up again. I don’t see that as a good ending at all lol. But with the parting ways ending, they keep in touch with letters and BOTH Sean and Daniel get to grow and find peace and happiness. It sucks they’re split up but they’re both happy. I def respect J&J’s decision and why they chose to do what they did but I always felt that ending was one of the worst ones lol

I feel like the surrender ending would have been perfect if Sean wasn’t in prison for so long. I feel like everyone forgets that Sean is only 16 (maybe 17 at the end of the game), can they even send a 16 year old to prison for 15 years, especially if it’s for a crime he swears he didn’t commit. Like how did they think Sean killed the cop? It was a full on explosion, but there was no residue anywhere, that’s the part that got me heated, like maybe if it was only like, 6 years, in prison, just for all the other stuff. That’s what I don’t get, and it especially pisses me off because Sean basically gets screwed over because of Daniel, cause Daniel is the one that killed the cop, even if it was just an accident. Sean lost his young adult life, he was completely broken at the end. I feel like all of the endings sucked.
@nadiakeaton5680
@nadiakeaton5680 4 жыл бұрын
yeah all the endings sucked and i still dont get that. its such a plot hole but i think it was the best out of the 3 i guess
@aisham5485
@aisham5485 4 жыл бұрын
the surrendering ending is the only one imo that has a legitimate closure, with sean eventually leaving prison and all the horrors that they both lived through will be left behind them. Yes it sucks that he was robbed a childhood, but every option that requires them crossing the border meant that they have to live in fear for the rest of their lives. Also the ending where he surrenders and has both his mom and brother, and also Lyla waiting for him feels even better than if lyla wasnt there (in some endings), because then, atleast he has a loved one and a future with someone, so it doesnt feel so bleak.
@CanaanBasedMovie
@CanaanBasedMovie 4 жыл бұрын
EXACTLY. I guess maybe the whole point is for Sean to choose the moral choice despite the consequences because that’s what his dad would want- but it annoyed me that no matter what, Sean’s life gets fucked. I thought that after EVERYTHING he’s been through, and the terrible terrible situations the game forces him in (and can we talk about how everything bad that happens is always directly Daniels fault- yet Sean is always the one facing the consequences) that the game would give him atleast a 51% happy ending, but in all of them- he only gets like a max of 49% happiness. It annoys me when people comment that it is the most “realistic” that Sean would go to jail for killing the cop, but like...not really. I mean yes if you stole or attacked someone on the run, then he would have to face some time- but not the cop. Literally WHAT evidence do the police have. Sean never even touched the cop so I doubt they have any DNA evidence, no witnesses (and if there were then that would just work in Sean’s favour since HE DIDNT DO ANYTHING.) It’s very upsetting to me that Sean gave up his whole teenhood +adulthood for his brother, when Sean was completely innocent, and he never ends up having a mostly good ending. The reason I’m so mad ab this is because I only finished watching their gameplay a few mins ago, and am still emotional about it. I’m just really unsatisfied but it is what it is and I guess I can understand WHY the game chose to go down that route, but to me it could have been better if they created I mean atleast ONE ending where Sean’s character gets a form of justice and happiness. Anyways, thanks for coming to my ted talk.
@GretchenVonEpp
@GretchenVonEpp 4 жыл бұрын
asf I feel the exact same way, like I understand they had to send him to prison, that had to happen. But I feel like it definitely should not have been for that long cause they don’t have any proof that Sean killed the cop. He should have only have gone to jail for maybe 2 years, 5 TOPS, because he did work at a an illegal pot farm, was involved in a church being burned down, stole a car, avoided police custody. Like yeah, for all of that, he should have gone to jail, but that cop was not on him, and he shouldn’t have got to jail for 15 years! And i’m also mad because even when Daniel became an adult, he never did anything! Like he screwed Sean over, and got him sent to jail. But he never tries to get his brother out of jail earlier? And in 15 years he only saves people ONCE? He’s got these amazing powers and all he does is open doors with them. What a waste. Yeah I wish there was justice for Sean. :/

It's dangerous enough being a minority right now in the us. especially in that situation and what happened, our first thought isn't "let's talk to the cops they'll believe us!! :)" no- the reality is for them, especially being Mexican, at least Sean's thought process was probably that the cops aren't gonna believe you, there's a high chance they'd twist the truth to make them look like criminals. its just a scary situation for them.

The best ending is where Sean goes to Mexico and Daniel stays behind. On a surface level it sounds bad, because they are separated, but it's the best. Daniel is raised to be a good superhero, nobody dies by him. Sean has all of these convictions that only exist because of needing to react to these superpowers and needing to react to a constant bombardment of racism. Sean isn't a villian and deserves a life not on death row, and surrounded by people that have the emotional capacity to respect him... He only has that life in Mexico.

Hair has a terminal length. That’s what you mean Jenna. That’s the term.
@xjoely
@xjoely 4 жыл бұрын
Erin Campbell - I just wanna point out to everyone that hair doesn’t stop growing when it reaches a certain length, the hair follicle isn’t aware how long your hair is or if you’ve had a hair cut lol. It might seem like that, because your hair reaches a point where it is falling out/breaking off at the same rate that new hair is growing so it will appear to have stopped growing. People have naturally different rates of growing hair which allows people who’s hair grows faster to grow it longer if they keep it healthy. Just like eyebrow and eyelash hairs don’t stop growing when they reach a certain length, they just fall out at a certain age/length and new hairs replace them as they grow in. I have a Masters degree in biology so i’m not just talking out of my ass lol

I love how they played Life is Strange and I think Jenna and Julien are both awesome, progressive people. At times though, it kinda bugs me that Jenna doesn't understand why minorities don't always trust the police. There have been multiple events recently where a minority did NOTHING or very little wrong and was killed or treated way worse than any white person would be treated in that situation. I know she is a sympathetic person and she doesn't intend to be ignorant. I know she supports immigrants. But seriously dude, sometimes people have good reasons to not trust the authorities.
@frankiemillcarek6976
@frankiemillcarek6976 4 жыл бұрын
I think that stems from Jenna's extreme deference to authority. I love Jenna and appreciate how good natured she is. But it does drive me crazy when they (Jenna especially) are so tolerant about people with differing opinions. Like ok yes that is great *up until the point that they start infringing on someone else's rights.* It's cool that you don't shit on a peaceful person having a different religion (a topic that they have broached before.) But it stops being cool when you're tolerant of the religious people who abuse their children because of their beliefs. That's the concept of maximization. Being tolerant of non tolerant groups results in a net decrease of tolerance (and increases harm.) You can't just sit around and hope everyone will get along. After all, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

This is an interesting conversation to have because another thing that happened is Bush recently got outed for being a creep and they addressed it but didn't say his name or do anything to like spread awareness or fix the situation. Also the moss in stream kept telling people who asked, "It's nothing big," when it was and I talked to a lot of the people it affected and it wasn't a good time. I have friends irl who are super impartial as well to avoid conflict but I think conflict is super necessary sometimes. And maybe it's just that the dinkfam is meant to stay away from all that and be a pure safe space but I do worry that it'll leave them open to be taken advantage of similar to what happened with Bush.
@frankiemillcarek6976
@frankiemillcarek6976 4 жыл бұрын
@@willowcrowluxx I very vaguely know what happened regarding Bush. From my assessment I just don't understand why people would continue interact with some internet dude when he started to act like an asshole and a creep. Drop that boy like a hot potato. It brings the point back around that I wish someone as influential as Jenna would say, "Hey, don't let people treat you like shit. No matter if you're gonna get in trouble. No matter if you think you can't win. No matter what. Resist." The world would be radically different if everyone lived by that concept because eventually the tide turns. However, we can't know if Jenna (or anyone) thinks that way if they don't say. Bush and Jenna are great *opposing* examples of why hero worship is a bad thing. People you worship may be much worse than or not as good as you hope them to be.
@willowcrowluxx
@willowcrowluxx 4 жыл бұрын
@@frankiemillcarek6976 Agree with all you said entirely. I think JnJ are aware of the fact that they stay out of hot topics, and it's just their thing. Obviously it became a concern when their fans were put in a dangerous situation and we wished something more had been said, but Jenna consistently makes jokes that she's a "distraction" from all the bad stuff. So I guess retaining that for them comes with a price. Hopefully dinkfam doesn't end up running into any other assholes like that. It's hard to give them a pass on a situation like that, but I do know that they try their best to cultivate a safe environment and want everyone to be able to keep coming to their online spaces for safety and such. Meaning they probably wanted to get back to normal as quickly as possible. It all around felt like -- and feels like when hypothetically considering potential future issues -- a real catch 22.
@frankiemillcarek6976
@frankiemillcarek6976 4 жыл бұрын
@@willowcrowluxx It is certainly a very complicated thing to be a public figure. When Jenna teases that she is a distraction from the bad things but clearly cares for people who are affected by the bad things and yet doesn't address the problem it creates cognitive dissonance for me. I like your way of thinking that she (and Julien and the Machine and everyone else they work with) are creating a space for something specific. I like to think I'm very aware that content is *curated* but Jenna is so much the internet's big sister and it's easy to forget that we're not omnipotent in viewing her life (or any youtuber). Thank you for that reminder and the thought provoking conversation! And for any other dinkfam or random internet denizens who read this: Care for yourselves, watch out for each other, and give fuckfaces no quarter!

Julen, I had an almost identical experience at my last haircut! The only difference is that I am female and always ask for a short/men’s cut. (I’m usually charged for a women’s cut, which is a whole other debate to get into) More often than not, when I go to a hairdresser I ask for one thing, and they basically say “no that’s too short”, or they won’t use the clippers on me?? It’s nuts! The only time I’ve gotten exactly what I want is when I got dorm room haircuts from my friends. Now I’ve graduated university and have moved to a new city, so I gotta find a good barber who listens. Wish me luck, y’all 😅

Spoiler alert for LiS2 So the ending that people often view as good and the one that you personally think is turns the brothers evil i think is meant to be symbolic. These boys had their entires lives in seatle destroyed having their Dad shot and being perceived as evil kids who murdered a cop in seatle so the boys decide to defend themselves and destroy the institution that ruined their lives. The ending that you picked is the second best ending but it also kind makes you feel sympathy for Daniel as he was nurtured by his brother in vital years without a father or mother figure to then be ripped away from him for wrongly being accused of murder of an officer and the alleged attack and robbery of the store just makes you think is it worth it that brodie and anton took up their time driving you, is it worth it that chris got hit by a car so you could escape, is it worth cassidy and finn getting you money and was it worth saving daniel and setting fire to the church. I think both endings are good but these two and every other ending leave you with a sour taste in your mouth because not all of the outcomes end in a happy ending because their dad is still dead and they still have a criminal record and these traumatic memories.

Every hair falls out at some point, and everyone has a different default time. The average between 2-4 years. And everyone has a different rate of hair growth. The average is 6 inches (15 cm) per year. So people that can grow really long hair have hair that takes more time to fall out, and it grows at a faster than average rate.

A word from a Cosmetologist have goes through different growth stages. There is a phase of growth, rest and shedding. Anaphase is when it is growing and depending on how long your anaphase, is the length of your hair. However, split ends do not stay on your ends. They break up the hair strand and can cause the hair to literally break off from the bottom to make it seem like it's not growing through the growth stage! Hair needs its dead ends trimmed off at least every 12 weeks to keep it healthy! I get my clients to come ever 6 weeks then start pushing out the appointments to 8-12 weeks depending on their hair. Many things, such as hormones and other external and internal factors affect hair growth! Everyone is a little different! Love you guys! literally watch all your content
