This was never just the Jenna podcast, this was the JennaJulien podcast and now it's just Julien. While I do adore her, I personally never come here JUST for Jenna. Julien isn't doing this for his health, he's doing this because he knows we're already bummed out about losing Jenna and he wanted to soften the blow and honestly, that was very thoughtful of him. He's here for us and deserves so much appreciation for carrying three channels while dealing with people constantly asking him about something that makes him uncomfortable because he doesn't know the answers. Did we really expect Jenna to stay around forever? It sucks, she's been around for so long that we're kind of mourning a loss at the moment but please leave Julien alone. He's not gonna tell Jenna what we're saying, it's not going to make her come back sooner, he doesn't know when or if she's coming back...no one does...I don't even think Jenna does and all of this is probably making her not want to come back even more tbh.

I admit I was selfish. I never expected Jenna to truly leave. I imagined one day she’d step away but I thought maybe she’d just post on her channel once a month or just do the podcast. I’m glad she chose to step away because we did see that she wasn’t always excited about it and I’m sure she’s doing much better now. I’m hoping Julien will remember to step away every now and then to just relax. For my own selfish reasons I do hope that one day in the distant future Jenna will make a reappearance in some form (a main channel upload, the podcast, or even background commentary on Julien’s video or the twitch stream), but I respect her personal happiness more than my selfish desires so I don’t want her to reappear if she doesn’t want to. I can only imagine the type of stress that comes with having a job that makes your entire life public. I hope Jenna is enjoying every bit of privacy now has. I hope she’s enjoying all the extra time with the dogs. I hope she’s playing a bunch of The Elder Scrolls Online, and I hope her mental health is at an all time high.

I'm a Jenna fan from way back and was also introduced to Julien's content through her. I'm absolutely staying for this Aries energy, Julien has a mad sense of humour and as much as I enjoyed podcasts with both J's, I'm really here for podcasts with Julien. Aside from the actual work of doing the things and mental energy doing it alone....he’s carrying an entire fan base who is basically trying to respectfully mourn the loss of Jenna in OUR lives meanwhile she is also relying on him emotionally in this time. yuock if she never comes back it would mean she isn’t okay with coming back. that’s about all we can assume. she is wise, she is intentional and self-aware, and luckily all of that extends to the way she treats her audience. any decisions she makes about coming back or not coming back will be made with the same level of consideration that she’s always had in her actions online, and that’s something we can trust.

Dear Julien, I have been watching this podcast since day one. I must say that I very much prefer this type of content than any other, because I get to know you and Jenna on a different level. I feel like we are friends who just sit by the table once a week and talk about everything and nothing. Sometimes the topic is light hearted and funny and sometimes serious and important. But I always look forward to these videos, every Monday (I'm watching them in Poland). I remember listening to JJ Podcast back when I was in University over and over again, when I was studying for my exams and doing projects. I still do it to this day actually. I am a very anxious person, so listening to you talk always calmed my nerves and helped me focus. I could probably quote most of the jokes that were made here and I think many dink fam members can relate. I just wanted to tell you that as much as I miss Jenna online, I love to hang out with you alone just as much. You have always made me laugh and wish I could have a friend like you in real life. Due to what's happening in my country right now I feel really down and anxious lately, but knowing that I'm not alone in this and everyone is going through something is giving me hope. Please never forget that you are an important part of this podcast, you're doing an amazing job alone (sorry Squirp). If I could suggest some topics for upcoming podcasts, maybe you could tell us more about you and your life/stories/opinions on things? Just a Juliencast about whatever you want to tell us about you. I'm not going to lie, deep down I knew that Jenna wouldn't be back anytime soon but hearing him say it made me actually physically cry. I think I speak for a lot of us when I say We miss her so much and we really just hope she's doing okay. I know she's had a lot going on for a long time and I really hope she's taking care of herself and finding herrself again. I know she won't read this, but I just hope she knows that we love her and we want the best for her. Even if that means not seeing her for a long time or maybe ever. Just know we cherish the good times. I regret taking seeing her online 2-3 times a week for granted for so long.

I knew everyone is posting about how they miss Jenna, and I did too, but I was under the impression that everyone was being supportive of her break and of Julien's effort to take on the full responsibility of the podcast. It must be really hard for him to move from the dynamic dialogue form of the podcast he's used to doing to this very different solo format and making it work. It makes me sad he has to go through this and then not feel supported.

I'm not trying to be a jerk to you, but this comment and alot of other comments make it sound like Jenna just needed to take a step back and have a break and she needs this for herself. Which is partly true, but she was also chased off the internet by the toxic hate mobs that go after everyone. Jenna felt like she couldn't do anything right for these people and unfortunately those toxic cancel culture hate mobs are only going to shut down people like Jenna who actually care. They aren't chasing off actual bad people. Those people aren't going to be affected, and it just pisses me off and makes me sad.

Julien has done such an amazing job carrying this podcast on his own shoulders, as well as all the other fears and craziness in the world that we are ALL dealing with. I can't imagine the stress this is creating for both him and Jenna. I am so thankful that he has continued creating these podcast episodes and regardless of what happens in the future with this channel I will continue to follow him. I had this problem of missing my ex a lot. But one day talking with my best friend I realized I didn't really miss my ex, I actually just had sweet memories of good moments we had together, and sometimes I just missed experiencing those moments with someone. Understanding that I missed those moments and not really the person helped me a lot to move on. It is not the same for everyone of course, but I leave this comment just in case it helps someone out here.
