RF doesn't really use unique flasks. mageblood with the permanent ruby flask, sulphur and quicksilver would be my go to picks, for the fourth maybe a basalt, granite, or amethyst flask. now the question is how RF is gonna fare with the new patch, is it gonna be buffed? nerfed? same? idk.

I will try to get one for my bosser. Its really nice to have utility flasks up 100% time. Also i can be much more greedy on gearing when i know flasks will be up all the time. Also i think we might be able to actually do almost damage immune char with this belt. Ofcourse we need patch notes but if less damage taken from X source is flat and stacks.. Well yeah.. Then we have Phys damage immune and 90%+ ele immune and CI ofcourse..

I'm surprised that you didn't mention bossing characters. Headhunter isn't much better than a cheap leather belt in bosses like Sirus, Maven, Aul, etc. Whereas a character running Mageblood is gaining a truly ludicrous amount of damage and utility - especially when you consider that you don't particularly *need* a movespeed flask on a character meant to boss exclusively.

Having 100% increased movement speed trivializes some bosses tho. Being able to quickly run around means you don't need to dash to dodge die beams or that you have way more time on the memory Game. Having this belt is insane for endgame bossing

It's certainly good for bossing you're right I suppose I focused more on mapping as that's where the new content is being added and also the most obvious comparison to be made Headhunter. For bossing the belt is as you mention amazing and its defences truly shine and make it the obvious pick without a doubt.

The more things on the list that is true, the better this belt is: - Your build can't benefit from Headhunter much for whatever reason (because you're mostly bossing, slow build, low pack size, build type doesn't benefit from rare mob modifiers, clearspeed is limited by mechanics of the build, etc.) - Your build doesn't have any/many unique flasks that help it offensively (non-crit build that can't use bottled faith, non-proj build that can't use dying sun, non-melee build that can't use lion's roar, etc) - You struggle with maintaining flask uptime - You can't get enough defence elsewhere in your build

There are just to many good mods on belts for HH to be worth using during bosses unless you already clear the boss insanely fast and don't feel like swapping.

If running this belt I certainly would design a character having a Bismut of resistance to basically free up 10-12 suffixes on my character and a Diamond flask together with Brittle to get 100% crit chance. Capping out your crit chance and resistances from a beltslot and flasks alone opens up so many modifier slots on the items which is kinda insane. For other flasks, doing something like stacking a Granite + a Basalt with a Determination aura and Defiance banner gives like 25k armour or something like that. But I'm more thinking of running Quicksilver with Adrenaline and a Sulphur Flask with cast speed. The belt says it "continously" reapplies flasks. I guess that means permenant Consecrated Ground underneath you aswell which gives permanent 6% life regen and 50% reduced effect of curses. I assume you could run 6% regen suffix instead of cast speed and get a permanent 12% life regen aswell which is kinda insane on things like a high HP build. I think Mageblood shines when minmaxing with unlimited currencies. The true oppourtunity cost is opening up prefix and suffix slots on the rest of your gear since you won't need resistances or crit chance anywhere (Assuming crit build). This allows you to minmax completely new type of items and fit new modifiers on your gear that you never could afford to use before.

You just spent 20 minutes talking about mapping while not even considering the most obvious goal of the item. Anyway, good video, part 2 would perfectly close the considerations around the item.

This belt is consistent across all content; that's the huge benefit of it so comparing it to HH with a focus of all the conditional "if this, this, and this (insert conditions where HH is ideal)", then the argument really becomes biased. When compared against all content, HH is the niche item that is only truly powerful in the hands of a POE player pushing things to the max in specific content and MB is the item that pretty much everyone and their brother can use and get great benefit from (both QoL AND character power), regardless of skill level, content you're doing, or the character you chose. That's why I think MB is clearly the overall winner, whereas HH is still amazing, but really only in specific situations and at a fairly high skill/investment level.

Just harvest enchant for 100% flask effect. The belt prevents use of flasks and it only goes down with each use It boils down to, HH is a limited exponential power boost and MB is a static power boost. Mageblood is going to be an absolute powerhouse for Bossers.

This is why I will get this belt for my TR build (obviously not going pathfinder any more) but the new mastery, that gives chaos multiplier for every 4% chaos res, you can now get insane amount of chaos res with a amethyst flask, on top of that, you get onslaught and phasing, and insane amount of easy evasion. Now here’s where you can also benefit of feeling like you also have a headhunter. Use zerphis heart, 2 inspired learning, and 3 vaal skills, and boom you will almost feel like you have a headhunter, this belt will just have overall better usage than a headhunter imo, I cannot wait to get my hands on this belt

One Realy bit point- Aquamarive flask reduces effect of freze- so you are not freze immune you should be unaffected by frezze- wich means you can gain benefits of being frozen

I think the best way to look at the belt is look at it as the advantage of 75%+25% boost. Effects even if you had perfect uptime 24/7 or some macro to keep the potions up. Looking for Elemental resist that's +50%/+20% is god tier stats, because having that would be impossible with enkindling denies 100% uptime to ever be possible.

I wish they would add Ultimatum in 3.16, with the Mahuxotl's Machination you could take Lethal Pride with Tempered by War, basically ignoring cold and lightning damage. Then just take the ruby flask, overcap resistances and so on and pretty much ignore elemental damage entirely. Now I will have to wait for 3.17 to try this.

Guys, you all are missing the whole point of the belt: if everything works as we think, then u're able to craft completely different pieces of gear. It opens 6-9 suffixes atleast for dps mods. HH will still be good for some builds, but the best builds will be focused around the new belt. It is not just +100% more powerful flasks, it is the different mindset when crafting your gear and passive skills tree.

Will be using mageblood for sure. Headhunter is nice, but being permanently fully capped with literally no res on gear + tons of armour and 40% less ele damage taken is insane. You can put damage in every gear slot and be basically immortal.

It's pretty much: everything that wanted HH before still wants it. Mostly everything else wants mage blood. It's just a belt that can fit in every build and be amazing since utility flask stuff is just generally good. Who doesn't need resists, Ms, generic damage, armor/evasion etc. And the qol of not needing to piano your flasks. This belt is league goal. And if it costs me 200 ex i will gladly buy it.

Everyone's missing the fact that you can get mageblood and inspired learning jewels and have the benefits of both worlds for both mapping and bossing. :) If you really wanna min-max it, swap out the inspired learning jewels for actual jewels for bosses and you're set. In my eyes, mageblood is easily the better belt if I compare it to HH, even for mapping.

I think people saying they'd just swap HH and this item out for mapping and bossing respectively are missing the whole point of this item. As someone else said, the real strength in this lies in perm uptime of magic flasks, which is like having your flasks be like regular armor. Meaning with the right flasks and mods you can literally have 0 need to invest in resistance, or avoidances or certain other stats on any other gear, meaning the gear to make this item optimal would not be compatible with HH to the point of just having to swap belts and flasks. You would want to build completely different gear if you were wanting to build around this item. Because if this ends up being way more expensive than HH as people are claiming, why would you buy this when you probably have perfectly good unique flasks that push bosses in seconds anyways by the time you can afford this? Also you can have bottled faith or whatever the bis unique flask is for you in the right most flask if your build has enough regen or leech to not worry about needing a life flask panic button and/or you are softcore. Note it only stops magic utility use, not unique.

Wouldn't the most powerful "enchantment" be the harvest craft that increases flask effect by 100% but reduce the effectiveness of this enchant by 1 with each use? Since the belt doesn't "use" the flask it should in theory keep the charges.

Wondering if this chase item will basically remove pathfinder from the game, as it overlaps with the primary unique benefit of the pathfinder which is basically 100% flask uptime in almost every situation, and a whole pile of flask effect. That was the reason I played pathfinder, basically, and now mageblood does the same thing except I don't need to hit any buttons. The only benefit of pathfinder is if you want to use lots of unique flasks, I guess.

I think it will come down to how rare/expensive it is. The vast majority of players never get even close to owning a HH, so if this is as rare or rarer, then it's not really affecting most pathfinders. I wouldn't build a pathfinder AFTER getting this belt, but if I wasn't in the position to buy one, pathfinder may still be an appealing option since i'm never getting the belt anyhow.

It is most likely better than headhunter, as headhunter is only really useful in super juiced maps Using mageblood will allow you to get way more offensive stats on other gear without caring about resistances

Cast on crit builds also prefer not to use the hh, since its mostly a dmg nerf cause cdr breakpoints/attack speed messes it up. This belt will be better then hh for coc. Go cdr on some jewels to get to the max cdr.

Not only coc builds, selfcast builds such as Forbidden Rite don't like HH too, because the faster attack speed messes up mana and your defences are not usable. And you can't really control it: you pess button one time, cast the thing for 10 times and you're oom for 1 sec, and that can cost you a portal.

Another thing people are kinda overlooking is this thing can practically res cap you on its own with a res flask. This means you can spec into full damage on your rings and amulets etc…. I know you mentioned it but I think people are overlooking it.

Ancient orbs will be better now. Lets say total weight is 100k for unique belts. Hh and mageblood is 50 each with this added as a pemium drop ancient orbs basically got double their utility. Now u got 100 in 100k chance vs 50 in 100k to loot big time

Is mageblood overhyped? I dont know i'll never see one

Ruby Flask with 97% Fire Res + 78% All Res would be crazy cool to pair with Formless Inferno.

Here are my thoughts : Ruby/Sapphire/Topaz/Quicksilver Setup with all res, movement speed, curse immunity and %evasion/armor will be the best setup ever for tankyness and overall best qol belt ever. With this setup u can roll your items especially for damage and nothing else, since u don't have to gear into any defences whatsoever (probably a bit of life/es but nothing extraordinary). Yes, u lose the HH slot, but u can run 3 inspired learning u can get some good rare mob fiesta with a specialized tree. Don't forget about the blighted-amulet, blight boots setup as well (blight boots give 150% base value of movement speed) (amulet with some legion jewel can give around 320% phys damage and such) . Mageblood will be more busted than HH especially since u can spec into broken zoom-zoom characters for not that juicy of maps

I think in practice the belt is weaker than you're making it out to be not using quicksilver for example I don't imagine will feel very good and headhunter in the perfect environment still dominates it but I agree mageblood is incredibly strong for covering your defences for a build.

@@Grimro Capping all resists, opening up all suffixes on items that were previously used for resists, 40% less damage taken from elemental damage, 100% er/armor, curse immunity it's not enough to justify swapping hh, that is usefull only on 100% deli's', or just hyper juice legion farming? I'm pretty sure that this is way more broken than what u emphasize to be. Keep in mind that u can also just get ailment immunity relatively easy this league, which will probably result in a lot tankier and smooth gameplay, without the requirement of running juicy maps to justify a 100ex + item

Belt is pretty good, but wont be better than a HH in a HH viable build, specially for clear. Could be the boss killing option for some HH builds and will be awesome for other builds if it's like half the price of a HH. If it's rare as fuck as Hateforge it wont be worth it unless the build doenst benefit from HH and Unique flasks

I personally dont really like the craziness that is headhunter - too much going on, if I can afford it I'm probably trying out mageblood this league. Curious to see there it lands on the pricing side.

If it's any indication I expect and am willing to pay as much for mageblood as for headhunter in past leagues and I expect it.

Probably more expensive. it'll be in the same rarity pool as HH, maybe 1 tier lower. But HH has a fuck ton of cards to get it, this belt has 0.

@@MeldsaGames There will always be new cards coming, but this item was just announced. Cards are made by the community, when you pay ( i think its 5k? ) you get to make a card. Dont think anyone is going to jump on that just yet.
