1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only catch Dragon Pokémon, defined as Pokémon that can learn Dragon Type Moves in FRLG (Species Clause)
3. Nickname Pokémon
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4's ace (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on manual "Set" battle mode

This was a great themed run, loved that it focused more on the Pokemon's aesthetic qualities rather than just purely on its type. The only thing that would have made this better is if you allowed Seadra to evolve into Kingdra at the end to let him reach his full dragon glory.

He's most likely playing on emulator so figured he did it this way to keep it as-legit-as possible, since he could remove the National Dex/trade requirement. Just would have been a neat little, "Good job Seadra, here's a reward for pulling your weight" moment after all was said and done.

@@SashkaSedr A lot of people use the "Universal Pokemon Randomizer" and just set their pokemon to evolve at certain levels if it has a trade evolution. You can look up a KZbin video on how to set it up.

I definitely recommend doing an egg-group based nuzlocke! They allow for a little more variety in your teams, so I find them more fun. I recently completed a dragon-egg run starting with trusty Treeko in gen 3.

Flygon, I know you typically level up to match the Champion’s ace before the E4, but have you considered starting at the 1st E4 member’s ace level and using rare candy between battles to match each member? I feel like it would make the earlier battles far more interesting since you wouldn’t just be over-leveled and sweeping everything.

I disagree with your use of singular "they" for genderless Pokemon. "They" should only be used in the singular tense when the gender of the subject is unknown. We clearly know the gender of all Pokemon we face in combat - ones like Voltorb or Magnemite have *no* gender and *cannot breed*, so "it" is the pronoun that should be used to refer to them, similar to inanimate objects.
