My favorite ability is Purifying Salt. They gave the one of the tankiest Pokémon an ability that gives them complete immunity to status ailments, with the added bonus of taking less damage from ghost type moves.

1:06 “Guard Dog” actually makes a lot of sense. Intimidation tactics are mostly meant to scare other creatures so they stay away from you. But if you try that same tactic on a *guard dog,* they aren’t going to be intimidated. _They’re gonna square up,_ because you just went out of your way to show that you’re a threat.

I love how the Purifying Salt ability is a double pun Yes, it purifies the Pokémon’s energy so it doesn’t get poisoned, asleep, burned, etc. But it also reduces Ghost moves by 50%, purifying Garganacl of evil spirits like an exorcist would 😂

Sharpness is the best ability Gallade has now. Mainly because it doesn't rely on getting hit to activate.

it should be noted that Bombirdier's Rocky Payload is its hidden ability and boosts Rock moves by 50%. make it a Rock Tera type and Rock moves basically do double damage on an unrelated note, it can also learn Stone Edge

With Miraidon, you can do something interesting with it's Ability, Hadron Engine.If you prefer an offensive play style, you can choose to give it a terrain extender to maximize the effect of the initial Electric Terrain. If you like defense, give it an Electric Seed to boost Defense in Electric Terrain.

It does let out the Tatsugiri when defeated. A cool strategy Ive seen is Toxic orb endure tatsugiri. First turn you endure and have partner pokemon hit tatsu. It lives on one health and gets poisoned. Switch in partner pokemon to Dondozo to activate Commander. Tatsugiri dies end of round 2 to poison damage and now you have a sharply omniboosted Dondozo and you can bring in Flamigo with its Costar ability to copy the sharp omniboost from Dondozo. Boom- turn 3 two pokemon with sharp omniboost

Any move that doesn't deal damage directly is considered a status move. They also all have the status category symbol to signify this.

Anger Shell Klawf is waaay to OP. You get a free "Shell Smash" boost for just getting hit and falling under 50% If thats not enough to compel anyone to use Klawf then consider this. Klaw ALSO has the stats to be a bulky physical attacker,WHO ALSO gets a crazy amount of coverage for almost all of its weaknesses! X-Scissor for Grass Trailblazer for Water/Ground High Horsepower for Steel And any Rock move for that STAB damage

Abilties/moves like Anger Shell needs a small update as we don't want to sit through the list of stat changes. Just do a "Def and Sp Def went down" in one go and "Atk, Sp Atk and Speed went up" in one go instead of doing each individually.

Just a note, supreme overlord’s boost is rather small. 10% per pokemon, so up to 50% in a single battle when your entire team is fainted. That’s the same as one attack boost.

@@red_lemming8628 It's kind of a better Onix in stats, a bit weaker in Defense but still bulky. Its moveset isn't very diverse though. The only damaging move it learns that isn't Normal/Rock/Ground/Steel is Body Press

True it's attacks are a bit lacking, but it does have 427 defense if running a defense boosting nature and perfect IV in defense,iron defense and body press would hit hard tho.

I've no idea how balanced this generation will be but it's looking to be the generation with the most creative strategies available for a large variety of Pokémon. You can catch them at normal size after the end of the game. And yes, you can catch great tusk, either in the dessert or at the final area of the game.
