Honestly I think Jack's run is still luckier. With all the shines, legendaries, shiny legendaries, and even pokerus. The odds of all that are very low. Especially since there are only 21 legendaries (including mythicals) out of the 386 pokemon at the time. So it's a 5.44% chance for one to appear as the FIRST wild pokemon per encounter. Of course it can be higher or lower based on the randomized route and pokemon it replaced (like the chance would be lower if it was a ralts encounter compared to a zigzagoon). Shiny odds are less than that and pokerus is even less. So to have all of that happen multiple times in a run hes just playing normally is absurd.

The max revive seems to be that the randomizer randomized the Gym Leader's items but didn't change the trainer AI to compensate. So Norman had low health, which in a normal playthrough results in him using a potion. So, he used the max revive instead.

Thanks to this video, I realized that I contracted Pokerus at some point in my Pokemon Black 2 game a while back and had no clue what it was. I saw the status condition and for some reason, did not question it; I got the spiel from the Poke Center Nurse but I always spam through the dialogue, so I wasn’t fully paying attention (I tried talking to her again because I did notice that the dialogue had changed but of course, it was back to normal); I got the phone call after and just thought: “Huh. Weird. So Anyway-“; and _eventually_ noticed pink face icons (which denotes pokerus contraction from Gen 4 onward) on a few of my pokemon. I looked up Pokerus in depth after that point in the video, and I feel pretty dumb lol. Now I’m going to reopen my Black 2 game and look through my party; I’m pretty sure they all have it 🤣
