Looking at the leaks; I too was disappointed to say the very least (mainly because there wasn’t the BIG one that I would absolutely gone for in a heartbeat.) Buuuut, with how things are standing in terms of Adventure Effects for the Black and White Kyurem: I think I’d personally go for Black Kyurem, seeing as how it’s the next best option. Edit: White Kyurem’s Adventure Effect as leaked sounds ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE, but I have a feeling noobs would enjoy that one - or even Galarian Bird hunters, idk.

Dragon breath + party power + a high damage charge move will be insanely good regardless. Like referenced dragon breath right now is only available with White while Black has dragon tail. Wife and I party play all the time. As we normally Dou raid together. Plus getting extra items or stardust while doing normal playing is nice. Wish it could be better rewards at times. But oh well. Again like you referrenced they can change it up. Keep in mind they've manually adjusted Necrozma moves before gofest so there's always a hidden chance they do the same. Quick side note: I mean there are times Pokebattler recommended psycho cut over shadow claw for Dawn wings only the difference to be very little. I just keep shadow claw on unless there is a big difference.

Freeze Shock (Kyurem-Black’s move) will have an Adventure Effect that’ll “paralyze” encounters. Essentially, they’ll be treated as if they’ve been given a Nanab Berry. Ice Burn (Kyurem-White’s move) will have an Adventure Effect that’ll slow down the speed of the Green/Yellow/Red ring during encounters. ------------ Niantic needs to give us a reason to own multiple copies of these Kyurem forms. Necrozma’s Fusions are the best raid attackers of their types, so people needed to obtain lots of Solar/Lunar energy to make raid teams. Adding Ice Fang to Kyurem’s moveset would definitely force players to make Ice-type raid teams of Kyurem Black/White.

The problem is Kyurem (and Black/White Kyurem which can learn the same moves) can't learn an Ice move which is also a fast move in PoGo. However, they could make the Ice move Hail a Pogo fast move and give it to Kyurem. But I don't think they will because I think they will make the signature moves Freeze Shock and Ice Burn so strong that it will still be the best Ice type attacker even without an Ice fast move also having a useful and effective fast move Dragon Breath. I definitely expect them to be best counters against Rayquaza, Therain Landorus and more. Even without their signature moves and with Glaciate only Shadow Mamoswine is better.

I have been thinking of the exact same thing, I'm hoping Kyurem gets something like ice fang before or during the unova tour, I remember when Ho-oh didn't even have a fire type fast move as well. An ice type fast move is the only thing kyurem needs to be better than shadow mamoswine. Now that I think of it, they most likely will give kyurem an ice type fast move because they're going to focus on making it a great ice type, and they're starting off by making freeze shock and ice burn a priority

It's worth noting that Black and White Kyurem's movesets have been the same since around 2018/19, when they were first added. There's definitely plenty they could do to adjust either form.

You mention @ 5:00 that black kyurem is #6 top dragon but I think it is more accurate to say it is #4 because you can only have one mega at a time.

This is a really good point actually. The lists on a lot of best attackers are like several Megas or whatever generally so noting this feels relevant. Since you can only have 1 Mega it makes like number 2 and 3 invalid for you to consider for more of your slots. That's some smart thinking!

that is a fair point of it too. Just fo the point like is like yes there are others that beat it out however if your going through the list for your raid team of 6 and say you want to take the top 6 you can only take 1 of a mega so if 1 2 and 3 are all mega and say you take number 1 then you can't take 2 or 3 which means 4 5 and 6 become your next best 3 options. Ofc you can take repeats but again you can't repeat a mega. Both sides are a fair argument and they're just bringing up bit of the nuance that's often not considered when talking about "top of the leaderboard dps"

This is a lengthy one so buckle in Let me put my two cents in on what I think the adventure effects could be, so if we look at the four adventure effects that we’ve had so far to me they have a similar pattern and that is Pokémon spawns, for palkia it is the radius of Pokémon spawns which makes the spawn radius bigger, for dialga it is the incense spawn time of Pokémon which pauses the timer on incense so you can catch Pokémon longer, then for dusk mane nekromza it’s Pokémon that spawns/evolves during the day, and for dawn wings nekromza it’s Pokémon that spawns/evolve during the night. As you can see there is a pattern in terms of Pokémon spawns, so for the adventure effects of ice burn I think it’s going to be fire or ice type Pokémon spawns and for freeze shock it’s going to be ice or electric type Pokémon spawns and maybe as a bonus they could MAYBE release a new Pokémon that share both the ice and fire typing for the effect of ice burn and for the effect of freeze shock they could release a new Pokémon that shares both the electric and ice tying.

There are four 5* raids at Global Unova Tour: Reshiram, Zekrom, Black Kyurem, White Kyurem. You would do one to have a Reshiram and Zekrom since they're still top Fire/Electric types in raids, and then go after Kyurem. They haven't announced additional free passes for Tour, so hopefully they do to grind out the necessary fusion energy.

How do you know the kyurrem ivs matter for the fusion? I mean, id love it if that is true seeing i have a hundo of that and not zekrom/reshiram. But with necrozma, cosmog's ivs as the base didn't matter...granted that was a limited mythic pokemon.

So this sucks. I have a Shundo Reshiram. I have a 98% shiny Zekrom. 96% (15 attack) shiny Kyurem. Only the Reshiram was a wild catch (others are lucky trades). So I’m using my shiny 96% Kyurem with just a regular Zekrom with low IV?

the event gives special backgrounds that can fuse together like the original necrozma and solgaleo. you will be able to not only raid for the fusion energy but also raid for more zekrom and resh for the back grounds. you dont need to use you high iv of them

No, if you fuse your perfect kyurem, it will stay a perfect. The stats of of the black or white kyurem will depend on the kyurem.

feel like this adventure effect is still better then the dusk mane and dawn wings effects. those are so useless like i cant just wait til its night time / day time.... what would have made them better is that they actually boost shiny odds for night time or day time... nothing crazy but like 50% boost would be cool. that would make me use it but i have yet to use either one

How did you rank these pokemon for pvp? These forms are a whole 600cp higher than the highest mons in the master league tier and their movesets aren't known yet. I see them both immediately taking the top two spots, especially knocking all forms of Zygarde down a peg or two with their typing. Kyurem has always had issues with its movepool anyway, even in the main games. It was a full 3 generations before it got moves like icicle spear and dragon dance in gen 8.
