I'm so glad to hear that good things are being said about this keeb even from someone who doesn't like building lego. I can guarantee that this keeb is a lot better in the more recent version! It's also got a few new separately bought accessories, such as a corkwood mat and wristwrests. The only problems I experienced were the instruction booklet, and my adam does have a bit of a bowing issue. Other than that, I've actually built a bit of an incline, so it's a little more comfortable to type on. Tape mod, and I threw a part of the pcb packaging in the case for a bit of extra sound dampening. For my very first mechanical keyboard, I love this keyboard to death.

Satisfied buyer here! I built this keeb myself as my first custom board and had a great time. It sounded and felt great as is but I used my own brick to heavily modify the case, including giving it a front leaning tilt and *way* better gasket performance (I ordered extra gaskets when I bought it). The switches and stabilizers were nicely lubed as is and, while the original keycaps sound and look fine, i got a more GMK-style set that sound even better (I mostly just wanted the legends in the upper left lol). I also added paper tape to the back of the pcb and that made it sound better than some of my friend's $200 aluminum keyboards!

Hello Hipyo Tech, I have a beginner question. So, I “started” my keyboard hobby about 8 months ago (I say, “started” bc I really want a keyboard but I’m to broke to buy it but its ok bc I’m getting there and saving up. Almost bought a keyboard. Jeez why are they so expensive) but I still have no answer on the question: How do you know what type (plate mount or screw in stabs) of stabs work for your keyboard? And Hipyo if you would answer that question, it would be greatly appreciated and I need to know. I love watching your vids and its what got me into the hobby and have run out of vids to watch so I will continue to watch every single vid that comes out immediately. Thank you so much Hipyo!😅😢

Hey if it helps at all, when I was a kid, we just had plastic bags or boxes full of someone else's hand-me-down Lego. No sets, no instructions, no pictures, just a bag'o'stuff and whatever you felt like making. Didn't even know there WERE sets and instructions until I saw them in a magazine or something. So yeah, you don't HAVE to play with Legos with a tedious instruction set, instead you can just go straight for the "LOOK HOW TALL I CAN BUILD THIS TOWER - Oh..." experience.

It's amazing just how far Mechanical Keyboards have come in terms of cost and OOB experience. Used to be you'd spend $200+ for a basic backlight-less Cherry official board from Das Keyboard that was pretty meh by today's standards but better than the domes we were all otherwise used to, so you had to spend another $200 on bits and bobs to muzzle it nice, and hours of soldering if you didn't like the stock Cherry switch options. Now you can get $100 boards that are flat-out better out of the box, there's only maybe $120 in parts generally worth upgrading to (less if you started with something already upper-tier like the Keynovo, or one of Akko's boards), and install it all in just over an hour (or less if you went custom from the start).
