This was an epic and pumping moment. This music is just perfect. They couldn’t have done a better job at composing an exclusive theme for Ho-Oh. It just feels so authentic to the atmosphere, and to Ho-Oh, and it’s a very unique theme as well. It’s atmospheric, uniquely made for Pokémon, pumping, and it fits the Japanese culture like atmosphere perfectly.

Absolute greatness in a single pokémon. Ho-oh is the literal definition of "legendary", a flaming, powerful phoenix soaring in the sky with seven colours surrounding it, and a mystical fire that gives life to the dead. It is indeed true that everyone who sees it will be eternally happy, because seeing Ho-oh fly is something very rare and amazing to see. A marvel of this world.

HackerHaunter I think they make a reference to it in the Garden. A girl who sits near the shrine says there's a tower similar to that one in Ecruteak city in Johto but She doesn't mention Ho-oh or the three legendary beasts.

this entire experience is unmatched. No other wild pokemon battle had a buildup as cool as this, and hoohs music captures the entire game and experience better than any wild pokemon ive ever fought. Only one i could think that stands its test is Shadow Lugia from XD.

Without playing games i keep much affection to that franchise as adult, most of these creatures are well inspired, and also because some of them have a particular nature, related to some important concepts; Ho-oh is really one of my top, also other legendaries including many big ones, like Dialga/ Palkia Rayquaza, for example, the Eon, also trios; i love this one, as it seems even a very intelligent mystic entity; i am however disappointed other beautiful Pokemon with such special background, like Kyogre and Groudon, are instead showing often very beastly.

When i caught Ho oH i did not use my master ball. I kept it because i knew it may be useful later on. I spent 21 ultra balls until i caught it. Not even with a status condition. Just lowered its hp to red and kept healing my mons when needed. Its not that hard to catch anyways

DJ Pullen actually if you do your research as to what the Japanese were really trying to throw people for was their beliefs in an ancient nexus. The Phoenix and the Dragon. Ho-Oh obviously being the phoenix and Lugia the dragon, or more specifically the Aquatic dragon the Ryujin. They also by technical terms they both represent fire and water
