The whole Pokemon marriage thing does raise an interesting question: if you meet a member of another species that is of equal intelligence to a human who is able to communicate with you but is not genetically compatible with your species, would it be morally wrong to pursue a relationship with them? Although, the better question for the world of Pokemon is probably "why are sapient species being kept in pokeballs in the first place?" rather than "should we be allowed to marry them?" Edit: Apparently I accidentally created a variant of the Harkness test. I honestly didn't know this was a thing.

If I remember right regarding eggs, Pokemon lore states that all mon are technically the same species, they just have the "galapagos finch" thing going on in the most extreme sense (aka they all Mew variants). Also Gardevoir wasn't in the "human-like" egg group until gen 8 and before that was categorized only in the amorphous egg group... the memes became cannon... until we meet again!

From the rumor I've heard, theres no talents nor held items .... so strategy will be quite minimalistic compared to other pokemon games. If true, the most you'll be able to optimimize is "is my team balanced and varied enough in types ?" AKA the basics. I'd say it is THE game to go and not care about optimization :)

I steam rolled Sword with the fire starter, everything else before getting a Sylveon was just exp sharing. And if going to think about it the only ghost type at the time was...gengar being ghost/poison. Which means one of only the counter type pokemons was also weak to psychic type attacks. Meaning that in gen 1 psychic had only ONE weakness to bug. And if we're being honest...bug is one of the worst types in pokemon.

Honestly many people seriously underestimate how powerful Gardevoir truly is. Not only does she have the ability to read you’re mind but it is also cannon that she has the ability to see into the future. This being can see you’re every move before you can even think it. She can read you’re future and you’re thoughts, that’s a deadly overpowered combination. She will know if you’re abusive or not before you even set eyes upon her. We’re talking about a creature that knows you’re every move and every thought before you can even think it. How the hell can you even abuse someone like that. Yeah but when they try new things they get crapped on, look at SM/Ultras or SS. Not all new things, little things here and there people love like season changes or difficulty, but people really hated on the SM, like 1/2 the fans didn't like megas initially either. Heck trials weren't even new, they've existed in the franchise before, look no further than the orange island season of the anime, they're called gyms but function exactly like Alola's trials, had regional variants, a new type with the crystal Onix being weak to fire immune to water. Also I don't find anything wrong with doing a little bit, if people don't like them anymore nothing stopping them from leaving the franchise. It's an RPG, action adventure, collecting game, inspired by the creator adventuring in his backyard, forests, mountains, and bug collecting. RPG elements from Earthbound, the monster and catching mechanic from Kaiju and super hero tv shows as a kid. Not saying mixing things up a little bit is bad, but if they completely change then it isn't Pokemon anymore it's something new, at that point just tear down Pokemon and build up a new franchise, or quit altogether.

8:16 Generation 3 would like a word with you lol. Mudkip is the only water type that can beat it's game entirely on it's own. Sceptile is one of the more overpowered Starters especially when used in ORAS or S/M/US/UM, where it can Mega Evolve and become a Grass Dragon type. and Blaziken is easily the best of the Fire FIghting Starters, statistically speaking, because it's the only fire starter besides Charizard that got a Mega Evolution, getting it's Mega before the other two Hoenn Starters did. So, in the end, Gen 3 is statistically better in the Starter Department, with Charizard being the only Starter that beats out the Gen 3 equivalent easily, due to type matchups. 8:34 Again, Hoenn's Starter Trio is statistically better, and they'd be just as iconic for anyone who watched the Anime during the Hoenn and Sinnoh journeys, where May had her Torchic, Brock had his Mudkip (During Hoenn, anyways... Not sure where the thing went during DP), and Ash had his Treecko. Also I say the Hoenn and Sinnoh journeys, and not just Hoenn, because I'm pretty sure May made a cameo in one of the DP episodes.
