Was the wife a Froslass who left after the man broke his promise? Or just offended because her husband told her she looked like a monster? The world may never know…
@Oceane1803

Well according to the legend of the Yuki-Onna, the Yuki-Onna spared the man because she found him attractive, but told him to never speak of her, or she would kill him as well (she killed the man's master, remember ?) As Gator said, years have past and the man now has a wife. When he decides to tell her about this story, she reveals to be the Yuki-Onna. She doesn't kill him because they have children, but she still leaves him. So the reason why Froslass left the man in Legends Arceus is likely the same.

Fun fact: In the original DP in Canalive town, it’s library to be precise, is stated in Japanese that man and Pokémon actually married back then. This of course led to the other countries, unfortunately, to censor that in some way, but the fact that Legends, after 15 years from the original, made it canon worldwide means a win for the original writers of the 4 gen. Legends is truly, after BW 1/2 and even SV (only the story though in that regard), the first title after many years that truly wanted to be something new, mature and fresh and boy i’m happy to see people actually being satisfied with this product. Another Gen 5 unjustified rage against this title could have been the worst thing to ever happen, luckilly the internet and the people changed and welcomed this title with love and hope for the future of a franchise that struggles to show its fullest of potentials.

I like that Legends Arceus did away with the assumptions that Pokemon players outside Japan are all children who cannot handle the concept of death and killing. Legends Arceus made zero effort to coverup that Pokemon can kill people (as seen where Pokemon in Hisui can attack the Trainer themself and even reduce their own HP to 0, as signified by the typical FPS game-style health indicator where the more "graphic" the screen has been altered from you taking damage, the less HP you yourself have. Not the sole concept of death not being covered up in censorship outside Japan in that game either), and Scarlet and Violet does not have any attempts (from what I remember) to hide blatantly talking about the concept of death. More recent-ish Pokemon games before Legends Arceus, did have the concept of of death censored out. Sun and Moon's Pokedex entries I believe hid concepts of death in them, most doing a pretty poor job of hiding it through merely implying, but they attempted to do so

It's quite sad that in a lot of folktales where the man falls for a woman that isn't really human and either doesn't know that his wife isn't human or just flat out tricks her into bearing his kids; the wife leaves the kids behind with the man after regaining her freedom or revealing her true self to him. But, she does swear that she'll kill him if he even hurts their kids.

I've had that theory for a long time too. And it's not a massive leap in logic. Humans are pokemon, they evolved from mew and the like. It's even very likely that humans lay eggs in the pokemon universe. As pokemon, humans are in an egg group, that being the human like egg group. Any pokemon in the same egg group can reproduce and create offspring. That offspring is the same species as the mother.

Once again the theory of: "The humans of the pokemon world are (probably normal type) pokemon themselves, but don't consider themselves pokemon. (Kind of like how most of humanity doesn't consider themselves to be animals, or to have "ascended past that title") With this in mind, they can and have been proven to form relationships (yes romantic ones) with pokemon, and can create either pokemon, or human eggs/babies together." is given more evidence... Why they don't do that in the modern era is unknown, but it might have something to do with how pokemon society's focus has shifted from living and surviving with pokemon in harmony, to encouraging the youths to go on rite of passage adventures as trainers, possibly to become champion or just to complete their dexes. Who can say?
@Oceane1803
@Oceane1803 Жыл бұрын
YES I think the same ^^ Thank you ^^ A lot of people don't believe me when I say that, but since nobody ever saw a Pokemon lay an Egg and that Arceus creates the Eggs (as seen in the Sinjoh Ruins event), it's likely him who sends the Eggs to the two lovers, on the condition that they're in the same Egg Group and that they love each other enough. Though I think that, unlike in the games and as an Almighty God, Arceus would also send Eggs to Gay and Lesbian couples.
@StarzyKK
@StarzyKK Жыл бұрын
@@Oceane1803 Yep no prob! You get it 😌 Personally my theory on the eggs is that the pokemon world has a lot of different energies. Primal, mega, dyna, etc. My hc is that the energies of the two pokemon who are mating interact and combine if they're compatible, and that forms an egg. That'd explain why no one sees the pokemon doing anything, because they aren't! Not consciously anyway lol. (And heck yeah Arceus wouldn't discriminate! Eggs for all LGBT peeps and mons! 🏳️‍🌈)
@Oceane1803
@Oceane1803 Жыл бұрын
@@StarzyKK Well after Cynthia saw Arceus create the Egg, she wonders of it has anything to do with the mystery of how Eggs are made. I think that Game Freak made her say this on purpose, so that we know that this is where we need to look. And I think that all the energies, primal, mega, dyna and all that are actually all the same. Well they all are different energies, but they all have one origin. Pokemon Life Force. Mega Evolution comes from A.Z. draining Pokemon Life Force with his Ultimate Weapon. Z Crystals originate from Necrozma's body that got destroyed after the Ultra Commando drained too much of its energy and they're imbued with its Life Force. Dynamax works because of two things. 1.Wishing Stars that are parts of Eternatus' body that got partially destroyed after two brothers defeated it and that are imbued in its Life Force like with Necrozma. 2. The energy under the stadiums, which is obtained by draining Eternatus' energy, and that's the reason why the Wishing Stars react to it. We don't know everything about the origin of the Terastal phenomenon, but I'm 100% sure it's also tied to Pokemon Life Force. We'll have more info in the DLC I'm sure. But I don't use mechanics anymore, because the reason why they all exist isbecause humans made Pokemon suffer from their own gain. Oh and speaking of stuff I don't use anymore, do you know about all the dark lore behind Poke Balls ? (I can tell you if you don't)
@rrrr-im9oz
@rrrr-im9oz Жыл бұрын
The developers have stated in interviews that humans aren’t pokémon, also that pokemon and humans dont have the same relationship we humans we have with animals (in that we are related), that’s why humans don’t use pokemon moves or can be catched in pokeballs (at least in the games, other media can be a more whacky since it isn’t made by gamefreak) A lot of people bring up psychic humans in the pokémon world but we don’t know if their psychic powers are from the same source as pokémon, magical humans in the pokémon world do exist like the immortal AZ and such
@Oceane1803
@Oceane1803 Жыл бұрын
@@rrrr-im9oz Okay so first, source please ? Second, A.Z. is immortal because of his exposition to the Ultimate Weapon, which is powered by Pokemon Life Force, so basically he has so much Life Energy in his body that he's immortal. And this cements the idea that Pokemon Life Force is the same as Human Life Force since A.Z.'s exposition to the Ultimate Weapon just gave him more Life Force, even though it was powered by Pokemon Life Force only. So if Humans and Pokemon have the same kind of energy running in their bodies, what makes them so different ? And some elements, like the infamous book in the Canalave library, tends to show that Game Freak do show that Humans and Pokemon are closer than they seem.

I like the implication that not only is the PLA protag Dawn/Lucas after they've completed their DPPt/BDSP journey, but that they're the originator of their own bloodline that's passed through the ages of Hisui/Sinnoh to produce the end result of Dawn/Lucas again. A closed time and blood line loop, created by God (Arceus). This Froslass gets to witness it from the outside, and essentially sees the same person twice in two different time periods, in two separate times of their lives. I'll bet that Froslass had the trippiest time trying to reconcile what she sees and knows of humans with how this one kid existed in two different times hundreds of years apart.

I wish there were more moments like it throughout the game. I really hope we see another LEGENDS title, I'd love to see one taking place with the Kanto-Johto linked region. We also need a DLC letting us do more with the time machine to justify Hisuian pokemon in Scarlet-Violet. I love Hisuian Typhlosion. Arceus is an incredible foundation to make some improvements and build on for another game. It just feels a little incomplete currently, like they built the Beta but didn't fully round it out, but I greatly enjoy how much more it feels like a "real game" compared to the mainline titles. @@Oceane1803 well most Pokémon have like 6 or 7 episodes in the anime unless they are a protagonists Pokémon in which case they appear in a billion episodes. But froslass only appears in 1...

@@mysteriousmog51 Uuh yeah but you know that the anime isn't the only place where you can find information on Pokemon, right ? The games are where you should look for information in the first place, since that's where the pieces of undeniable canon are. And this whole video was canon Froslass lore, isn't it good enough ? I think it was pretty cool. And it must be a new cool story to you if you've never knew about the japanese legends around the Yuki-Onna. Which, sorry if I'm just assuming, wouldn't surprise me considering you don't seem to look for information very thoroughly.

@@Oceane1803 you didn't have to write an entire paragraph that I am to lazy to read also I know the anime isn't the only thing but it tells the viewer a lot of lore about the Pokémon. As well as the pokedex

@@mysteriousmog51 Yeah well I like writing long paragraphs, I won't apologize jist because that's not your thing. And there are other ways to know more about Pokemon, like these kinds of side-quests or simply their inspirations. And since Froslass is obviously inspired by the Yuki-Onna, combined with what the Pokedex says, it's pretty obvious to know what she does and what she's like.

So if it’s proven that Froslass can turn into people, that brings Zoroark into question. And more specifically, N. If it’s possible for Froslass to live the life of a normal woman, it’s totally possibly N is a Zoroark who wanted to live a human life. Though, that’s simply speculatory

You guys gotta remember, a lot of Pokémon are based off of yo-Kai and not animals. Frostless is a yo Kai so she’s more of a dead spirit than an animal. If it was a gardevoir or lopunny, that’s be messed up and Gamefreak should be pressed for answers, but this case isn’t beastiality.

This begs another question. do humans lay eggs in Pokemon? There are multiple journal entries of humans becoming pokemon because of death or, Even more fascinating, evolving through supernatural means (see kadabra/alakazam entries) so if ALL pokemon reproduce by giving eggs, does that means humans (since they can also become humans) also lay eggs to give birth?

Makes sense. And is appropriate. I'm guessing it happens more than they say. Pokemon is a language you can learn, probably with the influence of Infinity Energy. Solves the Harkness Test problem. And not just the bipeds would get humans, who are just a kind of Pokemon in the end. All are equal to Arceus. Though, following breeding rules, only lady Pokemon could make more Pokemon. The dudes with their lopunny and sylveon and mightyenas and braixen would have pokechildren. The ladies with machop and lucario and arcanine would just have typed human children. A mienshao dude would have human kids with fighting power, and hex maniacs come from... why do I blank on types when I need them?
