There's actually a reason why Beheeyem gets Steel Wing: that's TM51 in Gen 6. In Gen 5, TM51 is Ally Switch. They forgot to change the TM compatibility for Beheeyem, and that's just funny

From what I've read, it was because Beheeyem is also based on extraterrestrials, who use spaceships to travel and thus "steel wing". Now imagine one coming at your Pokemon with its spaceship.

One of the most infamous examples has got to be Charizard being unable to learn FLY in Red and Blue despite having flying typing and bloody massive wings. It got it in Yellow though.

What I don't get is how the Zorua, Absol, Vulpix & Nikit lines can't learn Bite or Crunch. Yet somehow, an icy ghost woman (Froslass) can. Yes, Absol can get Bite via Egg Move & Nickit can get Crunch as an Egg Move, but why not via level up? Most other dog like Pokémon can learn Bite &/or Crunch. Edit: Oh, & Beautifly & Gorebyss, which say in their Pokédex entries that they commit vampirism on other Pokémon can't learn Leach Life.

Because Froslass evolves from Snorunt which can learn Bite and Crunch. Also Nicki doesn’t get Crunch as an Egg Move and can’t even learn the move

Absol can learn bite by level up it is not neceasary to breed an absol to get the move via egg move, abosol can't learn crunch and faint attack by level up and that is really stupid.

@@angeljulioogandomejia1035 Actually Bite is an Egg Move, as it doesn’t get it by leveling up in Gen 8 so they made it an Egg Move. Also Absol can learn Feint Attack but not in Gen 8 as it was removed from the game.

Game Freak saw this as an opportunity to rework almost every Pokémon’s moveset that was still in the game. This led to Absol losing Bite and regaining it as an Egg Move and instead learn Knock Off by levelling up.
