One of the hardest fights in history. I think Radical Red goes too far though. I really dislike needing to EV train during the story. But making the player actually build a coherent team. Build a strategy to win, use competitive move sets, that really makes Pokemon shine like GF never managed.

Ironically probably since I had Lance as a distraction. This was one of my only hard-core fights that beat him my very first try with no advanced knowledge of his team. Also Lance made all the right plays.

I'm not sure. I forgot exactly what it does, but it is more powerful than Special Thief. There is an old woman on Two Island who teaches it, but only once per playthrough.

There are 3 difficulties, Easy, Normal, and Hardcore. I played on Normal.

@@threeworldheroes Iirc, Easy has looser level caps, easier enemy teams, and opponents have no EVs. Hardcore has harder enemy/boss teams, player cannot use certain abilities and moves, and Minimal Grinding Mode is forced (Everything has Max IVs and no EVs).

Yes. You can use either a DS or 3DS Flashcart. Or, maybe you can convert the ROM into a CIA, so you can install it onto your 3DS' SD Card. I haven't tried any of these methods, because I am just using an emulator on PC.

It is a Romhack of Fire Red. You won't find a ready-made Romhack of Radical Red, because those get DMCA'd. You can easily find the latest patch file, and then you will have to find a copy of Pokemon Fire Red v1.0. With those two acquired, you use a program called NUPS to patch the Fire Red ROM. Or, you can use an online patcher, in which case, you will only need the Fire Red ROM.

@@jannikfischer8659 Well, when one plays the game for the first time, it is hard. Especially if they do not use the QoL cheats provided by the devs. I actually do not look up boss teams, so I was not specifically prepared for the entire team. I only swapped out one of my usuals for Melmetal because Double Iron Bash is helpful against Mewtwo having "two lives". However, the battle did not go as planned, so I had to adapt on the fly.
