9:04 The calcium deficiency part is hilarious to me considering Mankey's and Primape's lowest stats are their special attack (tied with defense) and Special Attack EVs are boosted with calcium. Even in gen 1 when special attack and defense were the singular special stat, it was still tied with defense as the lowest stats for both Pokemon and calcium STILL raised the special stat. It's like they're mad because their "mental" stats are so low!

every pokedex and every season and show and game state different sht about pokemon. Of course some wont state the same things. Nor the same or main topic of each. They all have a ton of info anyway. Look up individual games for the pokedex. Like none are the same or sometimes they might, be similar. New people came up with their own descriptions i think. I thought that was stupid. Its interesting bcz you learn more of each pokemon but still kind of dumb bcz info can be very varied and it spreads the info so far and wide... like searching for them haha

@@FlowUrbanFlow Some people don't have the time or energy to devote to learning a language themselves, after all. Plus, there's a heck of a lot more to this video than just that, as there is a lot of proofreading, in this case getting who you want to narrate the video, working on their time schedule, most likely multiple takes due to messing up lines or other things getting in the way of the perfect take, and, of course, editing the video itself. Have you ever done any of that? Making a video isn't as easy as it may seem. Not to mention that outside of making the video, it is more difficult to actually buy a RARE book, do your own research, and to reach out to someone who likely has, themselves, a quite busy life, such as an OFFICIAL TRANSLATOR FOR THE POKEMON COMPANY, than to just read a Wiki or make stuff up and pretend it's real. Have you ever made a video like this? You do, or at least did stunts, if your video history is to be believed, even though you appear not to have actually created the videos yourself, so you at least should know how difficult it is to get the perfect take; regardless of whether it's reading a script or doing a stunt. You have no room to say that anyone here is not doing hard work. Or might you be the kind of person who thinks that only physical labor is hard work and does not respect the people who create the videos that you uploaded?

@Aurum This book came out a few weeks after red/green was released in February 1996, so this was probably made before the games were released or very shortly after. The November 1997 spaceworld demo, while the concept existed, didn't have egg groups programed in the game yet. While tcrf.net doesn't have in-between 1997 and 1999, they do show that in the various 1999 builds they changed Nidorino and Nidoking from Unknown to Field, then later changed those two and both Nidoran to Field/Monster. So not only is the female not breeding is intentional, they had gone and fixed the male so they could breed. Edit: Sorry random person of the internet, I was just pointing out all of the points, which ended up longer then I was expecting.

It's interesting how originally the pokemon world was just an alternate version of our world, but now it's just a completely different world based on ours. This means that if pokemon were discovered in "France" in the old cannon, they were discovered in Kalos in the new one. That explains the connections between Kanto and Kalos.

What's interesting to me, is that in US/UM, the dex finally clarified that it's viewed as legendary because of the countless stories from long ago of it doing amazing shit. So it's less legendary because its rare and mysterious and unique - like why mewtwo is a legendary pokemon - but because it's known to do amazing things. I think it even states that there are way more of these floof bois than you'd expect.

Wait, Professer Nob? What kind of plant is a Nob? Also, wow, weird to find out that Nidorina and Nidoqueen were always intended to be unable to breed. It's kinda weird but at least the "fact" that it was an error in Gen 2 that just got carried over can stop being circulated.

I'm looking forward to hearing about Arcanines legendary status origin the most. I've always believed that the reason for him being considered a legendary, was because of his size, and was known to be a pokémon of extreme mobility and speed, being seen from afar running through grass lands. Also possible Japanese lore.

I believe it’s based on a Chinese guardian lion, so probably something to do with that.

@@InternetLad - Three parts. When part 1 was recorded, it was gonna be two parts, which is why Nekkra only mentions part 2 at the end of this video. But later on in the editing process, it got decided to cut the remaining 50 minutes into two more parts.
