RE: Parasect Curious that it mentions leaving spores on the Pokemon's egg. That explains why ALL Paras are infected with the fungus. I think in the future they should add a "branched prevolution" or something, say...breeding Parasect while holding a purifying item of some sort yields a mushroomless Paras, and the mushroomless Paras evolves into a proper cicada pokemon.

I mean, you could get Evolution stones (all preexisting ones), Fossils (it was the only way that gen), shards and Heart Scales, and even more Odd Keystones... if you were lucky. And that's not even getting into hold items for competitive battle. But then, of course, you'd have to remember to go back to the surface with your loot! Heh heh heh...

It still is possible for the fungus to mutate and being able to parasite humans, like a lot of other infectioms that were only on other species before jumping to a human, like AIDS. There is also some bacteria out there that infects rats and messes with their brains making them fearless and not afraid of cats. The cats eat them, of course, so they can get in the cat's guts because they can reproduce there, get pooped out (hehehe) and infect another mouse. But Pokémon "evolutions" are more parallel to metamorphosis than evolution in itself. Such as the fact that the original "unevolved" pokémon (e.g. Pichu) lives alongside its "evolutions"; plus, Pikachu and Raichu don't have "evolved" offspring, just like insects that go through metamorphosis (butterflies will be my example).

ikr? I just shook the thing 576 times and I got 574 steps. pretty accurate compared to another device which only registered 568 steps in the same experiment. ( I hope this example alleviates some of the confusion related to the context the word accuracy is used in here)

@Vessech Your second theory is wrong a sperm cell has 23 chromosomes its a haploid cell it has half as a regular human.. So theoretically it's 46 chromosomes coming together during fertilization.

Cordyceps is also the fungai parasite that infects the humans in Last Of Us. There's a lot of info about the thing in the game, by finding reports and documents in old buildings etc. In the story, it has somehow evolved into being capable of infecting humans instead of ants etc.
