I've said it once and I'll say it again. Probably one of the cringiest chats I've seen on twitch. I've been in a lot of them, and most are at least a little wholesome or nice but I get none of that here. Like that's the whole reason I like chat bc they're mean but sometimes nice and funny but with this one it's just mean with no off filter. It's probably because it's pokemon and also intelligent content so these kids feel entitled to being smartasses to anyone who's not their streamer, but they're probably too young to understand what they're actually saying. Idk just bugs me as a long time pokemon fan seeing people be rude and stuff when they just don't play the game like we do. Glad they're starting to call themselves out more though, it helps calm things down a bit.

This may sound sappy but the level of respect you give to people makes me want to try nuzlocking again. I tried one years ago when sun and moon came out but I wasn't super confidant so I gave myself more lenient rules for my first run. Dupe clause, item usage, grinding, locking up tips before starting the bigger battles. I had gotten a fair ways in (I stopped just after reaching the top of Mount Hokulani), but ended up abandoning it because whenever I told people about it, in real life and online, I would be made fun of. I was told I was cheating, that it wasn't a real nuzlock, and that I'd never get good enough to do a "real" Nuzlock. The comments got to me after a while so I just stopped. I don't have that save file any more sadly, but I still have the game. Maybe I can try again now, and use the tips I've learned from you! ^^

A slightly less punishing rule I sometimes suggest is 1 item per Gym leader / Elite 4 member. You still have to do most of the game without items and can't stall by just healing until things drop dead, but you don't scare people away by saying they can't use any items. It's a decent step into the harder side of nuzlockes
