Still you kinda missed the great moments in this. ...like the "graveler 2" obviously. The pufferfish moment. ..also i guess the aftermath of deaths and gym battles. And the "AFTERGAME ENDING" ...oh boy its so good, they take on "Rayquaza" as their final challange. But with a twist... ..though i highly recommend seeing ALL the season two edited episodes for skipping. videos there for good moments and people like me want to see your reaction and thoughts on this cast of characters and the run. Since they give alot of character development towards the finale.. i watch the unedited twitch streams and.. oh it hurts so much.. ....well looking back after i replied, i noticed your only thinking about the "trainer" ...it kinda ruins the fact the "trainer" isn't in control. The friends are so basically they don't want to die. You can't "sacrifice" since it's limited on people. So even if its a later route encounter... it doesn't mattet based on people.

To explain some things about how salty plays these friendlockes 1. He will rarely sacrifice one of his party members since the charcter he plays up is a bit of a jerk with a heart of gold type who doesn't like seeing his friends "die." So with the mightyena's death was sort of a case of the role playing elements of the friendlocke overriding good strategy 2. The reason he ignores the wipe-out = game over rule is because he thinks it's funny if the run ends with every single one of his friends dying

One thing I actually really liked about this type of Nuzlock is that it really helps capture the spirit of the original Nuzlock because each mon is connected to a person it's very easy to get attached to the pokemon it's why Salty never thought about switching in a sacrifice against the Grovyle because he didn't want to sacrifice any of his friends

While l agree with set mode being harder/more interesting, l think switch mode probably makes more sense in the context of this friend-locke,, you dont want to have to manually pivot past people's mons for 1 turn, you want mons/avatars to shine and keep it snappy. This whole series is probably more geared towards messing around with friends rather than actually being optimal, so for this one l think it's wise to keep set mode off :]

@typhlosion78723 жыл бұрын
The reason why Electrike died was because the person controlling Electrike, Pastey, chose not to evolve, then he chose to have Electrike use Thunder Wave, and then Pastey didn't have Electrike switch out. I feel that's the main beginner mistake in nuzlockes, not switching out of disadvantageous matchups. If Pastey simply had let Electrike switch out (because Salty doesn't control the moves made) and Kenny decided to let Sableye come in, it would've been trivial.

Yeah, I just finished up making a Emerald ROM with buffed gyms/E4 (and some trainers where I felt like it). Gave the Elite 4 all strategy themed teams and made Wallace not locked in to one type. Glacia ended up as a Sun team (gym 8 is already Water for rain, Hail isn't great, not sure how much can abuse Sand in the regional dex) and Vileplume as the ace. Wallace also uses Rayquaza in the Champion fight as his ace (still has Milotic though... just thought it would be cool if had Rayquaza as the one person to open the Sky Pillar, then releases it for you to catch.

I can't stop laughing at the fact that Jan took off the manscaped shirt after the sponsor segment.

Fun fact, I finished an emerald nuzlocke a bit ago and put sunny day vileplume in my team for ONE purpose. Killing Walrein, ended up killing both sealeos too but Walrein was surprisingly a 1 shot. Only difference between that vileplume and the one here is mine was running moonlight

Dude you gotta remember this was a emotion filled nuzlocke you keep saying to sacrifice something but he doesn’t want to sacrifice anything. In this it’s his friends not just 1s and 0s

Oh he knows this, but he's said numerous times he's giving advice in those situations for normal nuzlockes and for the people wanting to attempt a nuzlocke

Poochyena is a good early encpunter because it increases the odds of getting a nincada if your not going for duplicates

Could you react to SilphSpectre’s Mono-Ghost HC Nuzlocke of Platinum? It may have come out just yesterday, but he uses a lot of cool strategies all the way up to the end, even having 0 deaths up to the champion.
