I actually like the jam on the river. Villain will be on your right the rest of the session and because the hand doesn’t reach a showdown, you will realize a lot more profit in later hands because of the frustration you caused here. The worst possible outcome from a jam is that he is easily calls. But even in that case, the entire table sees that you can turn a hand with some showdown value into a bluff in order to get a fold, which shows some bravery, which has value to it assuming you are aware of this updated table image.

at ~4:50 he says it's certainly not going to be a flopped flush.. anyone know why not? I guess only the KQs should be in the small blind's range and they would have bet preflop with a hand like that? Or the bet seems too high like it's trying to push him off?

If I had to explain to someone not too familiar with poker player lingo, and be a little cautious about being understood, i would probably refer to the flop as "monochrome", which literally means "of one color". At least until the adjective "monosuited" gets popular enough.

Great play by the caller, I think. Very hard to call there with Ax here. I thought he had AQ or AK personally (with a spade maybe). Strong bet on flop for protection/value and flush draw outs, smaller bet when he's worried about flush or two pair (And no straight draw cards come out), and doesn't hit his flush, gives up when his flush doesn't come out. Figures hero is good with the all-in since all he has is a flush catcher.

Great video. Analysis was spot on. It was a clearly a player dependent river decision with stack size having a big say.

should’ve checked back the river; doesn’t have a lot of hands in his 3bet range that is nutted on this board?

Help me out gang, how is KJ with the K of spades a bluff and "no show down value" on this board? @1145. I don't get how that makes sense.

No show down value means if the hand ends right now/ the connectivity doesn't change on the river, your hand is very weak. On the turn, KsJd is just king high. If the flush doesn't come in, your hand sucks.

Sounds like the caller got a little lucky that villain can't afford these stakes. If he really knew that then I like the play because I will do that in live games when I see somebody I know does not have the cash to playing poker.

got a hunch, shove a bunch. i have to disagree with the sentiment here. if villain is most likely to have an ace, appears to have bet big on the flop because he was scared of clubs, didnt work out hero called, villain might be scared we have the clubs.... hero abused that fact and it worked out nicely. he might also be scared of 1010 or A10.. he didnt like the board enough obviously well played
