She is like older, but beautiful woman with tragic and happy past. Once She was majestic queen, blooming flower. Then dying, raped and tortured. Lost children murdered by russians and germans but still desire to live. Enjoy her energy and stay here forever.

@@DjRoslina Thank you for the advice! Truth be told, knowing the history of this city and seeing it as it is today has helped me understand what it means to be Polish. I'm just amazed at how hard working, resilient, courageous, and just simply incredible Polish people are. People have been nothing but nice and helpful since I arrived, and seeing how they're supporting our neighboring brothers, I just feel at a loss for words. If you need someone to be helpful, to figure out a tough situation, to rise out from nothing, to be unapologetically proud of what they are, you can always count on a Pole to do all these things and more. I couldn't feel more proud of my Polish heritage, and the Polish way truly is a very contagious attitude. You guys have an amazing country, and I can't wait to see what else my life here will bring me.

Hey! We moved from San Diego California to Chambersburg Pennsylvania and finally to Sandomierz Poland. It was a big difference moving from the West Coast to the East Coast of the US in and of itself. Especially since the weather in San Diego is way different than in Pennsylvania. But the weather in Pennsylvania is a lot more similar to here in Poland. But I am thankful for the changes we got to learn how to adapt to the weather and from living in a big town to a smaller town and then probably even smaller town here in Sandomierz. Me and my husband love it! It’s a lot harder on our kids who grew up in the US. Come to Sandomierz! Do a show from here and our family would love to meet you or us if you’re able to bring your wife and son. We love this beautiful old historic town!

BINGO! that’s why I believe it’s the future. London was a horrible place 30 years ago, same with other popular western countries that are now considered gems. Poland is more than halfway there. I used to live in Warsaw and work in London (at the same time!) over last 2.5 years before pandemia hit. That was Monday-Thursday in London and Friday-Sunday Warsaw. I travelled every second week, sometimes more frequently. Company rented a flat for me so my personal belongings where distributed between these two cities. I started to recognize staff working at the airports (Chopin and Heathrow). I also spent some time abroad in places like Brussels, Paris or Bangkok. From this perspective, I think that Warsaw is still one of the best places to live nowadays. This covers things like: infrastructure, public transportation, safety, restaurants or pace of live. I love London - this city can offer you everything you want, but at the same time it is very energy-draining. It's good to have some fun, see some things, to get some entertainment, but it's not that good for family life. Warsaw is much calmer, affordable and new cool places are growing like mushrooms. You feel that you are in the middle of the action and you are a part of this gowth. There is still a lot of things to upgrade or fix, but it's going into the right direction. Have fun here, explore the city, and good luck ;)

Hey Vigo's Dad & Vigo's Mum! :) My girlfriend (who is Polish) is thinking of moving to the UK towards the end of this year (should everything go to plan) and we're planning to live together. She has pre-settled status in the UK so it's a viable option and it makes things easier for her to move here. Long story short, I am 25% Polish via my grandfather, who came to UK directly after the Warsaw Uprising as a very young man and married my grandmother (who is Irish, so I have a mixed bag of genes). During lockdown I had gotten in contact with lost relatives in Poland (that I had never met before) and went over to meet them as soon as the pandemic and travel rules allowed me to. I met my grandfather's brother (great uncle) and many other relatives, which was amazing. The whole family came along and it was great, we managed to overcome the language barriers for the most part and it was a great but pretty emotional experience! :) Whilst over in Poland, I ended up meeting a girl and we've been dating almost 6 months now and usually see each other every couple of weeks (thankfully I work remotely, which helps a lot), thanks to the cheap Ryanair flights to Warsaw! Can I ask both of you, if it has been really challenging to manage your work/career whilst moving to different countries? Do you both work remotely or did you have to find new jobs etc.? Are you employed/self employed? As these to me, seem to be the biggest immediate hurdles etc. when I think of moving countries. I hope these questions aren't too invasive! :) If all goes well between myself and my girlfriend, I think the long-term goal is to live in Poland (I am a UK & EU citizen as I have Irish citizenship and I am also applying for my Polish citizenship at the moment too - so that makes things much easier). I have a couple of exams to finish off for my career and then I will have the time to dedicate myself to learning the Polish language etc. (which has been a goal of mine anyway, even before meeting my girlfriend and I also know it's important to her that I can speak her language too for family reasons etc.), hence why the plan is for us to live in the UK first, until I finish my exams. Thankfully, my girlfriend speaks very good English (I joke with her that it's better than mine as an Englishman) as she learnt it at school but also took time out of her degree to work in Scotland for a year (if you can understand the Scots, then you can understand anything...) and she works in a field/industry where this is a lot of demand, so she has no problems finding work in the UK.

Hi Connor, it was nice reading your story, I am glad you went to Poland and met some of that long lost family. When it comes to work it's always a big challenge. Karolina does work remotely, I don't. I do have flexibility so it means I can travel and do some work remotely but it's not permanent, which is the reason why I fly to South Africa (where my job is). It's just a little sacrifice (of a big one I guess) for the betterment of our family. Hopefully in a not so distant future I'll be 100% of my time in Warsaw.

Been coming to Poland since 2001 and living near Poznan for past 18 months. As American I always said Poland Eastern Europe but your wife is first Polish I heard call it eastern and not central. Since Poland became part of EU it has radically changed and I agree Poland is future. Yet I would say Warsaw is not really Poland to some extent. Prices are more like Germany and not rest of Poland. I like Łodz and Poznań and cost of living is better there. We got home in small town for less then 200K€ for over 200M². Growing up in rural communities only like to visit big cities. I truly understand what you mean about having "no home" in Vienna, I have lived in Vienna for 4 years and never felt at home there even though last two years I spoke fairly good German. Still we never really felt welcome there even though both me and my husband worked there doing good jobs and paid for ourselves with our money not any kind of subsidies etc. We started a family there but we always knew it was a temporary place, 2 years ago we came back to Poland and we never regretted it. There are many possibilities here as well in Poland yet life is so much more peaceful and environment is friendly, especially for families. Looking back I don't think there were so many pros to stay there to be honest. We managed to come back just before pandemic hit in Europe and we always felt blessed for that as we would be trapped in Austria without a serious possibility to see our family. Staying in Poland we also parially limited our contacts, but that's something totally different than not being able to see parents or grandparents at all. Fingers crossed for your new start and I hope soon you feel at ease here and bilt your new " global village" around you:) greetings from Gdansk:)

Z Panem Bogiem

If you are looking for a cosmopolitan city than Warsaw is by far your best choice. I'm from Warsaw and have a lot of British, French, and more recently Ukrainian friends, in addition to some Americans and people from other places. :)

After 14 years in the UK Im back in Poland ... already 2 yeard since comming back, but it was the best possible decision for my partner and I. Things I've learned : 1. You need to leave your country to appreciate it. I recommend moving abroad to everyone who asks, especially young people. 2. To make it in Poland (or any country, but Poland especially) you need to have your money sorted. Money goes a lot further than in the UK which is great. 3. This is my personal experience and opinion, but I think we (the immigrants) would never be trully valued and treated equal in the UK. I would grow old and die being a 2nd class (and by many unwanted) citizen. 4. Poland is very varied, which I didn't realize leaving Lodz all those years ago. Every major city and region is different. Vibe, people, culture. If you don't like one place, try somewhere else. All in all it's not all roses, but we're really happy we made the move :) (considered crazy by many :P )

Welcome to Warsaw, guys! :) You'll have a very happy life in this beautiful city, provided you follow one simple rule - stay indoors and don't go out in winter (freeze kills), spring (pollen-replete air kills), summer (near-everyday T-storm lightning kills) and autumn (gale-force wind kills). But don't worry, you'll very much enjoy all other seasons here. :)

With the current climate of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, NATO will likely be investing a lot of money, resources and materials to build infrastructure. I wouldn't be surprised if the investments open unique economic opportunities for the Polish people and it's residents, placing the country in a surplus.

I love that there is more and more people coming to Poland from different parts of the world 🌎 and they are bringing a part of the culture from there countries. Well I just wish we are more open but that is changing thanks to the young people who travel around the world and are more open minded. I will definitely subscribe the channel. Please go to Gdansk I want to show my English friend how beautiful is there 😍

Super interesting convo and I appreciate your sense of humor 😂. Poland has future as long as its population in its majority preserves common sense, traditional, old school values such as family, hard work and using your own brain. Like for a medium size European century Poland has everything: a lot space to spread out, fours seasons, beautiful landscapes, architecture, traditions, its own language and...incredible location in the heart of Europe with access to the Baltic Sea. The last thing, it is hard to conquer and divide Poland along religious and race lines like it can be done in the UK or US - that's a big plus.

Thats true what u too sayin . Since 11y i live in Ireland . Now i decide to go bk to Poland for good . Here everythingbis so easy , to get a job next day or even to move to anorher city, or any other things I can sort by email. In poland is too many paperworks to apply for a job or sort anything in bank or any institute . I remember prices for rent a house 750e and 800 was a normal weekly pension . Before a crisis in 2008 . Also here its normal that people talkin to u their nice to U . So in a few ways my life will be changed as i used to live like Irish . Nice channel and if ever gonna visit 3city or Hel peninsula i cen recommend u some great places to see but hatd to find as a tourist . One is 100CZNIA iwas seen on my holiday . Great place . Good luck to You ☘️☘️
