In this video I review the majority of what I've added to my General (at least from an electrical standpoint). I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for the videos. I have a ride command ordered. I'll buy you a beer if you come out to Oregon and wire it all up like yours! What model BMW is that? I have a 645ci, looks like yours may be same.

Is the portable speaker loud enough to be beard when you are driving the general?

Good question! I've not yet tried to use it while riding (only while sitting still). It does put out good sound, though, when it's in the center console and has some revurb it can put out. My helmet has BT audio, which is pretty good.

If you don't mind me asking, what LEDs did you use to brighten up the floor of the cab and center console. The 3 little blue LEDs

Here’s what I used: amzn.to/2HKyUJS. The 11mm are very bright. They’re nice, but if I did it again, I think I would have used the 6mm.

Where did you get the blue lights you put in glove box and all throughout cab

3:54 - What size relay are you using? You said 80 amp for the circuit breaker. Thx

I’ve used relays between 30A and 50A. I think the last batch (amzn.to/2NBVkkn) was labeled at 40A, but they were actually 50A in the box. Usually the only noticeable difference is that the higher amperage relays use a lower gauge of wire (I.e., the wire is a bit larger). I like buying the multipacks from Amazon because if there’s ever a failure, they’re A) cheap, and B) I’ll have a spare laying around the garage. BTW, I’ve also purchased these: amzn.to/2Zv1Iw3. In either case, I’ve never had a failure. Also, I don’t ever get fully submerged in my machine, but if you plan on doing that, I’d get something like amzn.to/2NDSJX2. Also, be sure that you add dielectric grease (amzn.to/2MJEsss) to EVERY CONNECTION in the machine! It could save your electrics. Splashes are no big deal, but some of the lower connections (e.g., turf mode relay, differential lock in the front, etc.) that are lower on the machine are crucial.

Thanks for the reply. I was actually referring to the large automotive relay you mention at 3:54 in the video.

Sorry about that. Here’s that unit (amzn.to/2zqk5Yt). That relay is basically my master disconnect for my circuits such that they’re energized only when the key is in the on position. I wanted all of my gear to be powered directly from the battery.
