Just to double check. Will the exact same Hot Cam tensioner kit compatible with my 2019 Polaris Ranger 500 ? I can’t seem to find any information telling me it is.

Working on 2015 570 ext it will not idle runs great 45 mph all day but come to stop its dies iv changed everything spark plug gas pedal tmap sensor cam shaft sensor whole throttle assy body new fuel pump assy new injector air filter all new and still just stalls will not start and idle on its own power any suggestions im at a loss

Hello. Two things first a etx is not a 570, their a 325 so first issue is you may be putting wrong parts in. Also have you checked compression, timing and valve clearance?

I had a similar issue I switched out the throttle position sensor and it helped out

Has to be either TPS calibration or the cable tension at the thumb lever.

What happens if you change the tensioner without finding TDC?

It’s a risky chance. You won’t be able to tell if all your marks line up. Therefore the engine could be out of time causing severe engine damage.

@@montemania198210 Thanks for the reply. I am working on a 2000 Polaris Magnum 325 and changed out the chain tensioner to a used oem part without finding TDC. It didn't solve the clatter in the engine, but it still runs strong. Great video. New subscriber.

​@TheJcgraves99 we used to have a 325 sportsman and same thing it made a slap/knock while running. I've heard it has to do with poor lubrication from that weird drysump system those have that leads to piston slap....there's also a screen inside the oil tank outlet that can become clogged and cause poor lubrication. I never found the exact cause on that sportsman, but I also beat the crap out of it in the trails and the knock never got worse...so it's not always a death sentence for the motor if it knocks lol.
