Great video. Glad I found it. Quick question. I have two sets of new ball joints, different manufacturer’s and neither of them fit in a 1 1/8 12 pt socket. Do you think that I could have the wrong size ball joints? I ordered both pairs from amazon. First pair I tried to install using the freeze/heat method and they wouldnt go in so I ordered a second set, different company. Havent tried them yet but the fact that they dont fit in the socket like yours does has me concerened a little bit

The size of the drive socket isn't all that important. You just need something to drive that ball joint back into place. I used that socket because it fit for what I was doing. If you find a socket that is the same out side diameter as the ball joint you will be all set

@@GarageVlogBob thanks for the reply. Went and returned the 1 1/8 socket and bought a 1 3/16 socket today. The ball joint I have seemed to fit that size perfect. Going to try and tap it in tomorrow. Hopefully that does the trick. Thanks again for posting your video

1 problem I see is the hole on your A arm has been wobbled out by the old ball joint...this will wear out your new ball joint and will need replaced again...the cutter pin should go through the castle nut slot keeping it from backing out...yours is below the top of the castle nut which can allow it to back off and start wear on the A arm and new ball joint...better check that
