In the video, polarity builds a grid and uses it to create drums with different sounds. He then introduces a melody, which he modulates with different effects. He ends by layering in a bassline and some additional percussion.
Okay, calm down with me, let´s build a Grid and enjoy some generative meditation. Grid is free for download (4.3.9) bit.ly/3Mc9Ewl

Great to see your still putting out content as you an invaluable resource to the bitwig community. While I don’t agree with your stance with regards to add on/upgrade/update fiasco it would be a great loss if it stopped you from sharing your tremendous knowledge. Thanks for everything you have done.

Is it possible to recreate the morph effect from the Arturia Polybrute using the grid? Not a fader but an actual parameter morph from one patch effect to another?

Sounds beautiful, but, are there Pitch Quantise preset switches, or something, so the key could be modulated occasionally? Maybe I like melodic jazz too much. 🤔

maybe multiple quantizer might work, or using the sidechain input of the quantizer

Yes, like Polarity said, you can use any midi input, your keyboard controller, as a side chain input to control the notes of the pitch quantizer.

Fascinating! By the way I have a glasses. Is there a way to color the background of all modules or maybe even put a gradient or svg in it, so it helps a lot more to optically distingish areas for example with different sound sources. Best Regards

No, the grid devices are not “highly specialized” devices, obviously 😂 but I’m sure Grid+, which will allow you to customize interfaces will be lol

I'm glad to see these great Bitwig moments are not dead. Whether you're pro, con or just wondering what to think about this spectralgate, I think getting back to music is always a good thing to do. Thank you so much for this video and all the others you made before . I really hope you will still have faith to continue ... but I think I have my answer after watching this video

I think there is no going back to normal just like that after that debacle. Bitwig and you lost a lot of credit over the last few days. Going to be interesting if and how you recover from that. Nonetheless, an interesting video.

Yeah naw, P dawg has given us a shitload of quality content over the years and his contributions are always appreciated. Myself and many others think his opinion is wrong but he is and remains an invaluable cornerstone of the Bitwig community. One contentious opinion doesn't change that, we should all be grateful for the education he provides. Be angry at whatever corporate drone thought financially sodomizing the bitwig user base was a good idea but Polarity gets a pass.

@@endlessnameless6628 I'm over this whole drama, I'm tired of it. It was a shitty move, but Bitwig is still the best DAW (for me). I also intend to continue watching Robert's videos. It's just that he's seen as a 'marketing tool' for a lot of disgruntled users since he doesn't share the popular opinion and, and I'm just wondering if he will recover from that. This video got ratio'd pretty bad for no reason.
