I've been wondering if Strength boosts the dust devil damage, it doesn't seem like it. The tool tip for Strength says it increases Skill Damage, and we already know that Edgemaster's doesn't boost the dust devil damage, and Edgemaster's also says it boosts Skill damage. So does Strength actually boost Dust devil damage, and in turn, the bleed from Berserk Ripping? It seems like Str only boosts the direct damage of Whirlwind - but Whirlwind's base damage is irrelevant to the Dust devil damage, right? So why have Strength anywhere on gear. I also tested the Devilish Aspect that generates 2 Dust Devils when you reach 100 Fury - the "generate" word doesn't count stuff like "chance to restore X Primary resource" but I didn't test whether "fury on kill" counts as generating fury. I think only Aspect of Vocalized Empowerment, Wrath glyph, uh and one more thing I forget. I also tested the "Fury per second affix," and that also does not stack up the Devilish aspect at all, neither does Aspect of Berserk Fury. But if we can generate enough consistent fury, we can proc the Devilish Aspect every single time we spam Whirlwind which would mean more twisters and more bleeds. I also already tried having 100% Lucky hit chance to make enemies vulnerable from 2 affix rolls plus 3 points into the passive vulnerable lucky hit chance for 100% chance. And I think this is still worse than just using the Accursed Touch Aspect because Vampiric Curse lasts for 30! seconds when applied, and chance to make enemies vulnerable only lasts for 2 seconds even with masterwork crits on it, and I do notice the bosses going in and out of vulnerable a lot even with 100% chance to make enemies vulnerable. It seemed like Vampiric Curse lasted forever, but I tested it on a boss dummy and timed it with a stopwatch, it's a 30 second duration. So that just means the 20%(x) vulnerable multiplier and my additive 800% vulnerable damage is being applied far more consistently. But this only if you don't have Starless skies or Grandfather, because you won't have the offensive aspect slot needed for Accursed Touch, so I would put this as another upside to using a polearm over GF. Thanks for the info on Whirlwind speed reduction, I was thinking it reduced total movement speed by I dunno 30%(x), so I did notice having above 200% movespeed helped. There's also the Cut to the Bone that can roll on the amulet, so you can have Cut to the Bone AND Heavy Handed+crit chance or cooldown. Cut to the Bone is a powerful multiplier, at 7 ranks, it gives another 35%(x) multiplier to bleeding damage - and since this passive requires the target to he vulnerable, it makes Accursed Touch even more appealing. I also tested Aspect of Burning Rage to see if Berserk Ripping procs a bleed from it, and it does, but the bleed damage it makes is very weak unfortunately. I like Bold Chieftan on the amulet because it reduces shouts cooldowns by an additional 3 seconds, but I think Devilish on the necklace is slightly better, because Bold Chieftan isn't thst great against single target bosses. I can reduce shouts by a whopping 9 seconds on the amulet, and just 6 on a ring.

For tyreal mace setup, any thoughts on concussion passive on boots instead of cc duration for pit speed farm? Prob doesn't make much diff either way but maybe high Lucky chance to stun nice for survival. Seems to stagger boss faster too.

@Rob2628 Hi brother, such a great work as always. If you had to choose one of your set up to PUSH the pit with WW (not interested in bash, flay etc), wich one would you chose ? I feel (regarding your planners) the "Mace advanced "/ "Uber boss killer" basicaly dropped every defensive attributes compare to "Bleed Tyrael Uber Barb" or "Pit push135" to maximize faster runs. But I'm not sure it does fit the push race ? Hope you will see this comment :) (actualy running the classic build around 127 pit)

Hey Rob! I'm kinda fresh 100 and would like to make ww work. I saw another build (from a youtube called Vergos) with Charge to keep Berserking up (Brawlind CDR and CDR affixes on items), and Accursed Touch aspect to keep vulnerable up (though that 35% chance on a lucky hit). Do you think this is better to speed farm? Charge feels nice until single target as lots of extra mobility. Masterworking Lucky hit chance rolls on items sounds like lots of work to me.

I've been using double swing instead of challenging shout to keep my berserk duration up. I only use it if berserk is about to fall off before war cry comes off CD. Usually only on bosses

I replaced the ultimate skill with leap and I put 3 points into battle fervor to grant berserking for 3 seconds. I also replaced the bold chieftains aspect on the ring with aspect of giant strides to reset the cooldown pretty much instantly. I lose some cooldown on shout skills but now that we have the disembowel glyph, it’s not too bad. Leaping between groups of enemies is fun and having berserking on demand is nice.

Hemorrhage bleed changes calculation when you reach 900+ vul dmg i have 1k and noticed that ot only gives 122% instead of the 150% does anyone know the computation for this? I tried various things and it computing right until i hit the 900 mark

keep the crit chance. Just roll warcry cooldown as a temper instead of imposing pressence (which makes you tankier… i personally kept imposing on mine because i just re-imprint that same ammy and move it to say a bash barb if i want to play my bash barb) but if you building this as a dedicated speed mat farmer (which is what ww is meant for)… you rock 2 pieces of jewlery with war cry cooldown tempers (amulet and 1x ring). Imo ideally not having counter offensive woulda been better. Cause crit, cdr and then 1 skill of choice woulda been better. But for your ammy, id keep crit chance and just bank on disembowl glyph to provide you the extra CDR since you kill the entire screen as you drive by, so you will get lots of the 1 sec cooldown reduction procs to your war cries

Btw you get 10% crit chance from 2h axe mastery + 5% from bloodfeeder. You don't need more than 85% Crit% to cap it. Unless i'm missing something and something is broken. Add a potion to it and bam, you're done. you are HEAVILY overcapping that crit chance.

94 is reachable with the elmerald gems, sure, but only if you already have base 80%, which is reachable only with GA crit chance on every piece of the gear possible. 😂😂😂 I reach 84% with potion, and it’s still an insane amount of crit chance 👍🏻

I have 3/4 GA crit. And masterworked all items to Hit two Times on crit. With Portion and incense im at 96.7 crit. Its possible to get 100%. Basically u only need 90 since you get extra 10% from Axe Expertise.

Pretty sure damage% is additive so it straight just worse than a lot of other additive dmg since the range of the temper is a lot lower. For example, close dmg is always better than dmg for Barb unless you are referring to something else.

Dmg% is calculated twice for dots like bleed. So 45% = 90% for dots. This will be fixed in S5.

Hello rob I have a huge problem. I'm using exactly same version as your build right now. I dont have as good gear as you do 4500 crit dmg and 650 vulne. But I really am lost here because i only managge to get 200 mil bleed ticks while wrath of the berserk is active. I have no idea why i do so low damage, I dont have heavy handed on my neck, but I can't believe that it would make a 1 bil difference. My crit rate also is at 65% Could that extra 30% really do that much? I have no idea what I should focus boosting up atm

Rob, the + size to dust devils from the aspect doesn’t add to the %x damage to dust devils from size. You need 100% to size from weapons to get the full multiplier from the aspect. This was tested and verified weeks ago.

Du you have enough crit chance? To be able to crit high you need to double dip, and therefore the chance your bleed crit is your crit chance squared. So if you are at 50% crit, you only have 25% chance to double dip, per my understanding. Crit chance is the most important stat

If you have 50% chance to cast twister twice on 2 weapons, I question whether it means 100%. Had similar scenario with heartseeker build and there were times when it only cast once. So I wonder if it checks 50% then separately check 50%....leaving chance to not proc.

regarding what you said at 41:00 i do agree hard caps for things that are supposed to be built around stacking a stat to get bonuses is really poor design, it undermines the entire point of the mechanic in the first place. also, the inconsistency with these types of mechanics e.g. thunderstruck compared to earthen devastation really hinders the ability to try and do some sort of balance in the game and this isn't even getting into the amount of game breaking bugs that make it even more difficult.

I saw alot of flay, bash or ww build use Crowd D but as its said in decription, effect with: slow, immobilize, stun, knockdown, taunt, fear, tether, daze, chill, freeze. There is no "bleed". Then why they use it since there is alot of something else?

I got a ga mace and spear with damage overtime and masterworked both on damage over time, swapped to rogue and put crit damage. Put on bloodfeeder and amethysts in all my weapons and have 1000% bleed on top of near 2k crit and near 1k vulnerable. Never seen higher bleeds off ww.

You need vuln dmg on wheapon,damage overtime don’t give anything for bleed or dmg

Vulerable has synergy with the paragon node hemorrhage and cut to the bone etc

Rob or anyone else. Rob's build calls for the so called "Crit Dmg tempering which is listed as a legendary Rogue marksman Finesse - Offensive. How does a barb obtain this tempering option? In general, how does one obtain off class tempering manuals?

You have to roll a rogue and unlock legendary temper manuals, then do the tempering while on your rogue. It’s inconvenient, but for the min/maxers it’s what they do.

What's your gear master worked at? I'd suggest having atleast all your gear MW lvl 8 before trying to speed run 91+ pits

Yes, I can't tell you how much of my damage comes from tyraels, but it's gotta be way over 50%. Don't try to snag a perfect one, even with zero GAs tyrael's is BiS by a mile. If you have those three uber uniques, you gotta be close to having four sparks from other ubers, just push hard to get tyraels next.

I don't understand why we want the Chance to Make Enemies Vulnerable affix at all for speed setups. The speed setups have Exploit and Rob said in an earlier video that everything in Pit 101 dies within the 3 seconds Exploit applies Vulnerable for so wouldn't it be better to have something else on both the ring and gloves? Just for speed runs? Don't you pretty much only use this affix on the boss at the end of the pit?

getting the 300% to berserking on ur board isnt as easy as you say . i thought i had decent gear and fairly decent stats using the same para board and i can't get it

you have to temper "damage while berserking" on 2 things eg gloves + ring, the rolls need to be good tho and max MW
