Under the bubble rust and in the primer build and poor choice of finishing the car when it was 1/2 way done. Lol @PBG the choke was flipped around, bolt missing to KEEP the secondaries from opening- no spacer, qjet pattered intake... lack of wanting to spend money to do things right, and likely the old timers/ owners way of installing valet mode and Parade mode. Great video. I watched this whole video all the way through which I really do. Love the aspect of you having your son do some of the work. I'm trying to convince my daughter start working on one of our classic Monte Carlos together. Love the humor.Good stuff 👍🏾

@@skypittman9303 Thanks, I thought it was a specific KZbinr or something. It gave me a laugh, anyway.

@@skypittman9303 I have an uncle with a few really sweet classic trucks he has restored, well paid to have someone else restore, and all he does is wash them and limp them to a few car shows each year. I doubt he has put 1000 miles on them together in 10 years. Such a waste of money to let them sit in his shed until he decides to wash them and drive them a few miles to a local car show. His 55 F-100 probably has a $10,000 paint job and he will most likely rub the paint off with a wash mitt before he gets his first actual bug splatter on it LOL

Dalton, You found a pretty decent car and are raising an even better son. I'm very proud of JD and he's not even my boy. He's learning how to deal with whatever life throws at him and he has you to thank for it. You guys rock! I'm glad your getting over whatever the hell grabbed ahold of you. ✌

My parents were NOT car people and I’m an only child. I would have LOVED the chance to work on one of my Dad’s cars he let sit in our garage for two years if I knew what to do. I did pick up some knowledge and worked on my own cars after high school for about 15 years - basic things no harder than turning rotors. I love that JD is learning how to do it as a young man. Kudos!

Props to you Dad. You have taught your son some very valuable skills. He certainly knows his way around cars and seems to be extremely capable of taking care of his own.
