Quite. Nothing ever changes does it - Lady Officer knows it's going on KZbin, and even states that the MET have 'a lot of bad press' at the moment (classic understatement!) and then proceeds to lose a perfect opportunity to engage with a member of the public in a civilised manner and thus give some good press!! instead, she just starts off on a long patronising spiel before, inevitably, bringing out the old favourite, the Public Order Offence with no member of the public in sight. Classic combination of ignorance and passive-aggressive threats, and all in a recruitment centre. You really couldn't make it up.

That was originally *Kennington Police Station* which first opened way back in 1955 but closed a few years ago in early 2019 as part of police cost cutting measures. There was talk about who would buy the building and what it would be used for. But it seems the Police have decided to hang onto it for the time being!

Those old uniforms could often be seen in London until quite recently. Officers were allowed, if not encouraged to wear their fathers or grandfathers uniform if they were on duty at royal events or ceremonial occasions. Unfortunately a lot of them became too faded and fragile for the practice to continue.
