I am surprised the city did not have any of those school buildings open as emergency shelter/warming center during this in the 1st place. School classes were out for the holidays so i see no reason they were not able to do that for people who lost heat or became stranded in the area. They have heat, a cafeteria, gym floors with gym mats for people to sleep on.

Amy Hartman, First let me do this. 🙄. Do you think it would have been wise to just open them willy-nilly? So anyone and everyone could trash the places? And/or steal everything in sight?
