Police pursue reckless driver in L.A. County

Police pursued a reckless driver in Los Angeles County Friday night. The driver, armed with a handgun, was wanted for a shooting, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. A passenger was also spotted inside the car.
The vehicle weaved dangerously through heavy traffic on the freeway before exiting onto surface streets in Inglewood as officers trailed behind.

You can't compare Los Angeles to Arkansas, whre almost all of the state is nothing but farm land with rural roads two lane roads. Los Angeles with a population of more than 4 million people and more than 10 million in greater Los Angeles. Besides Arkansas is very inexperienced in police chases.

Sadly, in local jurisdictions, each Police Department has their own policies about what LEOs can & can't do and at what speeds it's allowed. These limits are set by city politicians, not by local law enforcement agencies. Also, each individual state has their own laws about what limits are put on all state law enforcement agencies, with emphasis on State Police. For example, Arkansas State Police can choose to pit at any speed. I know of now other state that allows that. Hopefully this helps.
