Police Surrounded Us After We Found This Magnet Fishing!! Today I Went magnet fishing with my friend Jimmy on a very old abandon bridge. Jimmy ended up finding a real live grenade while we were magnet fishing for valuable river treasure. He also found some of the best magnet fishing finds ever here today at this location. Later that day he also found a old hand gun and a small cash box while magnet fishing under the old bridge. The county police Involved had no choice but to call the bomb squad in and they ended up surrounding us in the park and exploding the grenade right on the old historic bridge. This was the first time ether of us ever experience a real live explosion while magnet fishing. Please check out my other magnet fishing videos that I have available and as always thank you so much for watching. #magnetfishing #police #fishing

@Outdoor Influencer, well, 8 years later, I'm seeing this video. Yall are lucky to still be here after that find. That's what we call in the Army a piece of UXO (Unexploded Ordinance). There's no telling how long it had been down there. The longer an object like that stays in the ground or water like that, the less stable it becomes. I can't tell you how many people have been killed by finds like that. They take them home and stick them on a mantle or something like that and all of a sudden one day it explodes... I'm glad you all are ok.

I'm sure we've all seen things faked for views, so they likely behaved that way just to be sure it was real and not such a case. Faking a dangerous situation is an awful crime...They seemed okay with them afterwards, especially after the explosion when they found out it was definitely real...The bs some officers probably have to deal with over "views" on KZbin was the likely culprit there.

Nobody wants to have to call police, but if you do this for a living you run the risk of finding things like they found...And that obligates you to call them. Think of it like mandated reporter when you're in a profession involving children. Finding weapons that could have been used in open crimes, could prove guilt or innocence of a person, live explosives that could be a danger to the public if not handled properly (especially if they are compromised by being in the water for so long). The list goes on. It ain't the cops fault they have to be 100 percent thorough. If you don't want to deal with it, then don't do this for a living basically. Glad it didn't blow, anyway.

I understand being displeased or even arguably angered at the officers ignorance on videoing them and their demand to get permission to use video with or without blurring plate numbers, but the idea of not wanting to call authorities about finding artillery and explosives is so far beyond delusional that I don't think someone can functionally say that as a member of society. If that is a murder weapon, you could save someone else's life or bring peace of mind to whoever it may be connected to. Someone else could have found that explosive or a similar explosive right next to it, not to mention if it had a connection to a case as well, you would be getting rid of evidence that could be used to help. It is so far beyond moved from reality to believe that you don't have to turn in that type of thing just because you are unhappy with what one particular individual of law enforcement said. People don't like to hear this because it is an unpopular opinion these days, but factually and statistically speaking the United States law enforcement doesn't extremely good job at what they do. You just have to expect there are going to be some who aren't quite as good as others or that shouldn't have the position and have yet to lose it, and I imagine with how many laws there are it is easy to forget a few. That is not to just ignore what the officer said, but it is a fact nonetheless. Honestly though, such a delusional thought process to not call for these types of findings.

Ppl should realize, typically police forces recruit ppl with personality disorders bc ppl without empathy handle stress better.... narcissists, sociopaths, and psychopaths. They don't look at you as a human with a family and life and feelings. They see you as a promotion, a medal, and glorification of themselves. They couldn't care less about the law bc most of them are somewhat involved in the local Mafia, drugs, prostitution, and guns. Just consider this ...if you wanted to murder ppl, being a cop would allow you to do that repeatedly and without consequences. If ppl hadn't started to record these events, they definitely would STILL be getting away and getting REWARDED for it! When they see YOU as the enemy, it's best to view them in the same light. Never trust a cop. Always keep your mouth shut and get a lawyer. Don't think bc you're innocent you can't be convicted of a crime. It happens every single day!

Won't be long before someone passes a bill that you need a damn permit n a license to legally go magnet fishing off a bridge. Warning to any felons or folks on parole, you don't want to be caught with a gun or grenade even if it wasn't functioning. It would take a real tyrant to do that to someone, but there's plenty of police that would do it regardless.

I'm a convicted felon for homicide came home Feb 2015 I was magnet fishing with a buddy of mine in VA Beach VA I pulled up a safe with 3 knives, a 12 gauge, a couple rifles and some handguns we called the police and I was detained for over 8hrs because I'm a felon. Eventually they talked to other witnesses and confirmed I didn't mishandled anything and had no intention on keeping.. they let me go and told me if I happen to come across stuff like that again it's best to just toss it back

Police officers do indeed ask questions that could be self incriminating to try and get people to accidentally spill truth that they may try to be hiding, which can often lead to innocent people being confused and answering the questions in correctly. However, while this can land someone to be arrested or even put to trial, is statistically very rare for the individual to be incarcerated and serve time because of it. The United States goes to Great lengths to try and protect the innocent which is why many cases take so long to get hearings because it is giving time to find all the evidence possible for both sides. This is because the United States is built upon the idea that we would rather set free a guilty party then accidentally incarcerate innocent citizens. One should be careful and be mindful of what they are answering and try to do so as calmly and understandingly as possible, cooperate and give the truth; settle out disputes later if need be. This helps each individual, the police officers, the investigation, and pretty much everything else under the sun. This is not to say that there are people who get falsely accused, but being falsely accused is unfortunate, but rarely ends up being found guilty and incarcerated under false assumptions. Inconvenient, but it is an unfortunate necessary evil so that way investigations can be done to the fullest, and hopefully minimize arrests along the way.

@@johnbrandon6630, I'm unsure what exactly the point is you're trying to get across. The more people they question, the more accurate and close to get to what really happened. That's how investigation works, they have to treat everything as a piece of the puzzle and while by law no one is to be convicted without a shadow of a doubt, they have to treat every party with relative suspicion. If you call something in, and they don't find any obvious evidence other then that, yeah they have to question you. It's rough, and it is intimidating and sometimes can lead to false accusations and false confessions, but that's particularly why court is so important, to settle that to make absolutely sure. For the most part, things are set up to arrest and especially convict only the guilty. Hiding information, acknowledging/enacting rights aside, or being disrespectful only makes their job harder and helps criminals.

Even before I started to read the comments, When the Deputy said, "Did you plant this?" My first thought was, "If he did... Why would he call? Wouldn't he plant it, find it and record his video without calling the police?" Now, I honestly don't think that the Deputies were trying to incriminate yall. I feel he was just reiterating the, "Did you plant this?" question so in the report, if something were to come back in 5 years and they pull up the report, He can say, " Hey look, I asked these guys 10 different times and they said they had nothing to do with it" it can cover your ass. But i can also see how it comes off. I see both sides. None the less, You do NOT need permission to record ANY emergency vehicle or ANYthing in public. As long as you are on PUBLIC grounds, You can record whatever your camera sees. It may be a policy for them to not post anything with Sheriff's vehicles but that policy is departmental only. My department has that policy. Awesome finds! Im excited to see more videos and hopefully get a YT channel myself going once I get the correct equipment!

Great job, the LEOs seemed surprised that everyone was calm. The LEOs also acted as if the grenade could go off all by itself. We all need a lecture About the does and don’ts of explosive ordnance procedures. How many more are in there?

That’s Awesome, please be careful!!! Springfield is where I was born. That is so crazy, I never would have thought that anyone would have found a hand grenade. Great Job!!!

Congrats on 100k. What a video. Found my first grenade 2 weeks ago, ww1 mills bomb frag grenade. Was fortunate enough to see the bomb squad detonate it in a controlled environment, Amazing

Why is it on a lot of videos like this that the cops look like they've spent way to much time in a donut shop?? lol

You can tell that one cop is a rookie because he keeps telling him move further back further back further back instead of telling them where he wants them to be at

So the first thing the cop does is to basically accuse them of planting the hand grenade? That would make an easy arrest wouldn't it. Get's all of their I D's, ask how they know each other etc. And then tells them to hang out, meaning not to leave? Never call the cop's, you can't trust them. Scary. Lucky they weren't arrested.

If the magnet fishers were totally upfront and honest about what they found, and are totally cooperative about handing the weapons they found over to them, why do the cops need so much of their personal information and give them a hard time? THEY FOUND THE WEAPONS. THEY GAVE THE WEAPONS TO THE POLICE. end of story

so that gun is later traced back to a murder. it was found in the river by so and so while filming there fishing yt. which is why his dna or prints showed up on it. is it that hard why they need your info if you find something like that lol.

Because let's be honest people are willing to do some retarded shit to get likes online. The grenade was fresh as fuck. It's called investigating really. I think these guys are legit but honestly if I heard later that they staged it, it wouldn't surprise me.

The police needed the info to check and see if they had any warrants out. If any of them committed a crime and the police didn't get their info and just let them go, they could commit another crime and the police would be to blame.

What’s wrong with just taking a statement and let the investigators decide if additional questioning is warranted. Why drill these guys?? What a good find! I can’t imagine what could have happened if it was left down there!
