Its ironic that he questions how this witness can recognize him, when at the beginning of this trial Brooks himself made an accusation about one of the jurors "flipping him off" during a prior appearance. He stated he "recognized" the woman, and "knew for a fact" that it was her. So it seems that in Brook's little world, he is the only one who possesses the ability to "recognize" and "identify" someone.

Darrell Brooks was booked in at 5'8 and 150 pounds. The witness description of 5'9 and 160 pounds, is very close considering he was wearing a baggy hoody at the time. So I'm not sure what Perry Mason here thinks he's doing by standing up and asking him to look again.

@@lotanowo If the jury is truly impartial; which I doubt. The prosecutors has not proven without reasonable doubt that Mr. Brooks is guilty. They have had bad witness using YOU YOU comments which can't be use in a court of law. Than the prosecutors have also stated character attacks such as Mr. Brooks is using a Mumbo Jumbo defense. They have already called him a looney. You can't be impartial or bias in the court of LAW. Also that fact that Mr. Brooks is question that he has not been given a laptop can also hurt the case. Another thing that can also hurt the case is when Mr. Brook does cross examination they don't allow him to ask Question. If the State blocks Mr. Brooks witness this trial will be a mistrial. The judge can say whatever she wants; it only takes ONE jury to say. NO VOTE which is a automatic Mistrial. So Friend Lotan!! Do some research the State has screwed up
@edison700
@edison700 Жыл бұрын
@@Menga213 Court cases use witness to identify people in court all the time. It's up to cross examination to put into doubt if the witness is truthful or not remembering things correctly, and the jury to decide the facts in the case. The problem Brooks has is there is so much video and picture evidence, all the witness are there to do is to confirm that the video is an accurate depiction of the events. They could have done this whole case without witnesses but they are playing it safe because brooks first claims are that the videos and pictures are either fake or not of him, So instead of leaving it up to the jury alone, they bring in witness to confirm what they saw, so now the jury has to choose that all the witness are untruthful and the videos aren't real or are hiding something, rather than the videos not telling an incomplete picture or being false somehow. Also like to add witness can and do show bias all the time. It's up to the lawyers to show that to the jury. The one's that must be impartial are the judges and jury. Each side can and do brings witness that are bias toward their side and it's under cross that you try to undermine that testimony. Good example is the amber heard trial, and she brought up that therapist witness with a bias against Depp, and Depp's lawyers under cross showed the bias and brought up another therapist witness that proved the bias and how he went against ethical codes he swore to upheld, making his testimony de-credited in the eyes of the jury. Both testimonies where allowed and the jury decided which one to believe base on facts they observed.

He truly thinks, cause he doesn't identify as DARRELL BROOKS; that the ( person ) / ( I'm not a person, I'm a human being ) sitting/ asking questions at the the defense table IS NOT the person that committed the crimes. Uses all his verbal gymnastics 'skills' to TRIP UP witnesses SEMANTICS- to somehow PROVE that because his appearance is different ( short hair vs long hair/ suit & tie instead of the grungy clothes he was wearing ) than at the time he committed his horrific crimes. That somehow his AH HA, or ZINGER moments that only 'make sense to him'/ proves that he is innocent.

@@Junior0G prison is a place for people who have broken the law. Yes, there are cases where innocent people have been sent there and that’s very sad. However, in this case, being locked-away for the rest of his life is nothing compared to the misery and pain he’s inflicted on people for decades……he’s a truly wicked person. So, while I respect your comment, I do feel it was over the top in this case. Brooks has never had to face consequences for his actions and he and his mother still shout about how he wasn’t given the help he needed etc. It’s all nonsense. He was allowed to commit violent acts for years and wasn’t properly punished.
