Here is my reaction for Bridgerton Season 3 Episode 4!
I never knew a carriage scene with a violin period version of pit bulls give me everything would be literally EVERYTHING. I already loved that song, but now I can never unsee this scene. Y'all Colin and Penelope ATE that scene.

THANK YOU!! I keep seeing all these comments and reactions complaining about Luke Newton's acting and I'm like what? where? His facial reactions were ** chef's kiss * I think the pacing and script choices weren't the best - some things should have been handled differently cause they changed the timeline and viewers don't have the same amount of insight into Colin's thoughts as readers. Having said that though, Luke *beautifully* pulled off "emotionally sensitive man role-playing as a generic f*ckboy, who has recently realized his best friend in the whole world is also the sexist woman he has ever encountered, and who is simultaneously overwhelmingly horny and really insecure".

14:50 to the office scene is my exact reaction to the carriage scene. I had to pause it many times to calm my heart since it was racing so fast. Colin was a hungry boy and wanted to show how hungry he was for Penelope especially when he got her consent. Consent is key to everything. I could swear when Colin was hitting her sweet spot, the thoughts of his face while watching her reaction was like: “Show me where. Show me where. Oh there! Right there…” He kept on going as long as she allowed it if the carriage never stopped. I cannot wait for the rest of the season and we better see their freaking honeymoon even if they are under bed covers for it, I don’t care as long as we get to see it.

And whenever I watch tv/movies/read books, I often wonder what the characters could be thinking in the moment if I was writing dialogue or paragraphs myself. And as soon as I saw how Colin was looking at her when he got consent and his hand went under her dress, I would bet that is what Colin is thinking when he starts to sweeten her kitty and watching her reaction. Colin knew all the best spots to hit knowing Penelope being a virgin. Violet was right in season 1 that Rakes can make the very best of lovers since they learn how to please a woman. And pleasing us does take practice. I’m glad Colin got all the practice he could so he makes Penelope’s first time all she hopes for when the honeymoon time comes.

Portia’s reaction to Penelope holding out for love is partially (not wholly, but partially) due to the fact that she doesn’t know Colin’s into her daughter and considers Debling to be Pen’s only suitor. Besides, even if she did know, she’d probably still push Penelope towards LORD Debling, rather than MISTER Colin “I’m an Untitled Third-Born Son” Bridgerton lol

am i the only one who thinks Eloise needs to shut the hell up and mind her business? she sees the world in black and white. the world exists within the gray. and because SHE doesnt know how to operate within the gray, she just chooses not to and looks down on those who do. Plus, Pen really DID save her by writing about her in LW. The queen was coming for her head, literally, so while Pen writing about her savagely may have been a backstab, it was to save her from the Queen chopping off her head. and Eloise needs to see and accept this. She comes off as essentially wanting to ruin Penelope's life without giving any thought to how Pen was raised, what environment she was raised in, and how shes had to find a way to fend for herself due to her mothers' actions and favoritism of her slimmer daughters over Penelope. Eloise was and remains a spoiled brat who needs to stop trying to ruin Penelope and Colin and work on her own shit with Cressida.

I have a theory about the second half. Because they changed how they reveal Lady Whistledown in the book differently than how they do it in the show I think some may be worried. However I suspect Violet might actually take Penelopes side and heres why. Even though Whistledown has bothered her in the past she will probably overlook that due to how much Colin is in love with her. She has done that with all her children that have gotten married or chosen a mate so far. Im hoping the whole family looks at how much Whistledown has helped the family instead of focusing on the negative.

And honestly, Pen has now since dragged HERSELF as Whistledown, and Colin busted up her engagement to Debling (she would’ve had it in the bag if not for him), so they’re in pretty even ground as far as her breaking up Colin’s plan to elope with Marina (who didn’t even really apologize for lying to him and proved they have very different outlooks), and “ruining” Eloise (Eloise is pretty okay she’s not an outcast in society, and it would have HAD to be dire circumstances for Pen to do that in the first place. Pen probably had a much easier time ruining herself in Whistledown than she did blowing up Eloise’s scandal.) I guess what I’m getting at is that Pen hasn’t done anything to others that she hasn’t done to herself or had done to her by Colin, himself. And she didn’t even have a hope of winning him for herself, she just didn’t want him trapped in a lie by Marina. And he could ALWAYS find himself another woman to court, after. Colin torpedoed her single shot at Debling, who was a decent honest guy, and as far as Pen or anyone else knows, she has ZERO other prospects to escape her horrific home life. I’m just saying, Colin doesn’t get to be a hypocrite when he does find out about LW.

I truly believe most of them will be happy especially Violet in their engagement. The only one that is not going to be thrilled is Eloise. Plus Eloise was hoping that Penelope was not seeking a husband in Colin then here they are announcing to the family they are engaged. I do wonder how Colin will defend Penelope against anyone else who may disagree in society. At least until he possibly finds out she is Lady Whistledown. I do have some fear of how he is going to react toward Penelope if or when he finds out. Hopefully Penelope will tell him on her own then finding out from someone else.

Honestly i could not believe what I was seeing, and I loved every bit of it which I don't say often about sexy sexy scenes. Penelope being able to tell him that she has always loved him should be her love confession to him....because that will absolutely make him melt! l mean each season has had love confessions....Daphne said one to Simon in the rain and Anthony I think said one to Kate in the garden with fire works.... but I'm also just realizing that those were actually love confessions from a Bridgerton but I mean when one of them has a love confession the other one still speaks on it so maybe Colin will have an official love confession which can lead Penelope into her love confession and I do hope that it will be after he finds out that she's LW because I need him not to be mad at her for long and that might help.... that I think will make him see why she wrote about Marina the way that she did because it came from love.... she has always shown him love without him even realizing it...and he needs to know it!

There was a lot of extra storylines in kanthonys season too but I do think they're scenes had more of an impact because the attraction was there from that start for them. They both tried convincing themselves they didn't have feelings for ine another which made their scenes so much more steamy and intense. While I adore polins scenes this year but they're just a different type of love story. Kanthonys longing moments seemed much more intense since they were trying to ignore their feelings but you knew they both were extremely attracted to one another. With Colin it's more like he's coming to the realization he has these feelings which comes off as more of a shock to him rather then his moments with pen actually being instantly passionate (minus the Kisses obv)

I do wish we got more absolutely!! I do agree we got much more of that chase which was soo good. But we also have known these characters for a while now so I think they didn’t want to spend too much time like setting it up. I mean that carriage scene gave me all the build up feeeeeeells my god. But now we will get to see them like TOGETHER and that will be different. Like how will they act? Ya know. And I know we got some steamy moments coming which I am not mentally prepared for 😱😂

Kanthonys chemistry was so intense I definitely felt like every scene they were in they wanted to pounce on each other to the point even Mrs. Bridgerton and lady Danburry knew what was good from the jump lol. The way I'm looking at it is in the previous seasons we were watching both of the leads fall in love simultaneously. But Penelope has been in love with Colin for years already. And at this point in the story she seems to have accepted he's never going to feel the same so she's doing her best to move on and find a husband. So What were actually watching is Colin's realization that he's falling in love with Penelope now. I loooveeedddd your reactions with how flustered he was these first few episodes because I was the same way 🤣🤣🤣🤣 absolutely Iiving for it baby. It was sooo funny seeing him get so flustered and worked up. And I loved how everyone kept saying he was a good friend to her because he legit did that to Pen for years. I do wish they made him grovel a little more for her though. It feels like we were robbed of making him work for her and her attention because she spent most of her time ignoring him while he was away obviously. I feel like he was forgiven to easily and I could have gone with one or too more scenes of him getting jealous and trying to get her attention. But the CARRIAGE SCENE was EVERYYYTTHINNNGGG for me. I cannot believe they left us hanging like that 😭😭😭😭😭

Polin is my favorite couple from this whole series, and I'm so freaking happy for them! But yeah that whole LW thing is worrying me because of how much Colin doesn't like her but he loves Penelope so how is it all going to play out???? How mad will he be???? And with all that going on I really hope that Penelope will get to tell Colin her love confession about loving him for all those years.... because I'm sure that would absolutely make Colin melt to know that Penelope loved him all that time without him even freaking knowing it.... maybe they can make Colin not so mad about the whole LW situation because Penelope only wrote that thing about Lady Crane because of how much she loved him and Marina never really did....she just wanted him to provide for her baby.... Marina never loved Colin like the way Penelope has always loved him! I just need all this to work out for them and they end up getting married at the end....and I swear to God I hope there is enough time to get all this into the next 4 episodes and they don't dare throw in another cliffhanger which I don't know if they could do that because every season is about someone different so this has to be the time for Polin to officially shine and be together as a married couple! I need Part 2 so badly it's hard to freaking wait... seriously I'm crying for those two to make it just like the way Simon & Daphne....and just like the same way Anthony & Kate made it.... even though I don't care about those couples at all because it's Polin all the way they are the most awesome! I'm not well! Isn't that what they always say in this show?

I feel your want for the Polin dance, cuz the dances in S1 and S2 between Simon & Daphne and Kanthony giving! It's ironic cuz Penelope and Colin literally danced in S1 and S2 when it wasn't their season, but we didn't get any proper dances between them in their own season! Hopefully, in Part 2 we get that, but by then Polin would be together already 😭 I wish we had more Polin scenes! Cressida's outfits this season are so idk the correct word to describe it, over the top maybe? It screams "I need to get attention" and desperation since literally Cressida is being pressured by her parents to get married by the end of the season. I was honestly shipping Cressida and Debling, I only wished Cresssida was honest in her convos with Debling since he said to Penelope that he doesn't want someone who loves nature like him but someone who accepts their own peculiarities. The carriage scene was everything we wanted! I'm not ready for Part 2 of S3 cuz Mirror scene is gonna be there! Like if carriage scene has us all like this, I can't imagine what Mirror scene gonna do to the whole fandom! I'm also ready to watch all the drama unfold in Part 2! Excited to see more Polin and Kanthony! 💓

I had nooooo idea what was going to happen in this carriage everyone was talking about. I thought ok there must be some sort of love declaration or something. BUT A SEXXY SEXXXXY SCENE like that, I did not EXPECT. Honestly, i think the best of all 3 seasons. i think it was perfectly acted, perfectly directed, the music choice was on point, the STAGES of that scene...omg i could go on. Which honestly i might hahaha! i am going to be doing a breakdown of the season and tlak about it in a video.

I wonder if it'll cool Colin's ire at all to know what Eloise was really doing in Bloomsbury. It's one thing to risk Frannie and Hyacinth's [siblings that want to be married] reputations for an eccentricity that people only attribute to her [Eloise] (read: her feminism), it's a whole other thing to risk their reputations for something that would damn them all (read: what would be labelled as "lightskirt" activity). How Eloise mistreats/disregards her family and how her words/actions affect them will always bug the hell out of me. Maybe she'll take this chance to take some accountability to be a better sister.

THE scene was very different from the book. I personally think it hinders the romance aspect of this show and makes it more dramatic. Which is fine but a total 180 from what happens between this Eloise + LW + Colin relationship they've established in episode 1. I just can't think of how they will change it up.

Yes, it was a bit different in the book. First of all Colin had just found out she was Lady Whistledown, he was angry with her, they had an argument in the carriage, things got heated, suddenly the mood changes, they kiss...and.... 😉🔥 The marriage proposal was right from the book. Colin was the first to know she was LW, but nevertheless proposed. The showrunner/writers decided different (like in season 2) just for more DRAMA! 🤷‍♀️

Idk Colin said to Eloise’s face that once he finds out who Lady Whistledown is, he’d ruin her life. I’m not particularly fond of Pen - I just don’t see how she justifies spreading other people’s business - but at the very least I think she is owed a heads up about Colin’s feelings about LW. Let her have a chance at explaining herself. Still, it irks me that this would be the second time this man commits to a relationship with imperative information gaps missing. Sure this is tv, so in tv world there doesn’t have to be consequences for one’s choices, but I don’t see how Eloise is in the wrong in being hurt…Pen has literally trolled her family. And Colin has been hurt before.
