I will wait for the Grot. Definitely tempted but ultimately I’d rather have a Grot than a chin weld AK with an 18 inch barrel. No doubt it’s a great AK but I already have an SLR 106

If fb radom will ship grots to usa dont buy a1 version they are kinda like first issued m16. Buy a2 and a3 versions instead cuz are waaay better

You're a bit late on this, Arms of America announced this a couple weeks ago. Luckily they offer a layaway program, so I put a 5.56 full package Beryl on layaway the same day they announced it. The Beryl is imo THE NATO AK. An AK variant that was specifically built to be chambered in 5.56. So even though I wasn't really wanting to buy another AK for a while, I knew I wanted one of these in my collection and it's seemingly now or never if you want one. Also, if you want the original stock polymer handguards, as well as the upgraded furniture, I asked AoA if the "Full Package" comes with any of the original furniture, and they said that it comes with the original handguards, but the grip and stock aren't imported with the rifles and are American-made. So they aren't included. Which isn't a big deal imo, as Beryls never used traditional fixed buttstocks anyways, and you can find original Beryl grips online pretty easily if you want them.

WBP is great, they even work with FB Radom to some extent (other than using their barrels) and I will sing their praises to anyone who'll listen, but FB Radom is THE small arms manufacturer for the Polish military. Because of that, their stuff has a certain collectors' value that a strictly commercial manufacturer like WBP really never will.

Id say from personal experience FB is a higher tier AK. However, WBP rents machine time in the radom factory to make their parts. So this will almost certainly effect WBPs ability to produce guns.

AOA has a service for chopping the barrel. What is the official length the polish military used for their rifles when they used the beryl?

No need to chop, in the Grim Reaper book it reads that they used/use the 18” barrels in their military. Except for the ones that were issued Micros.
