There's a Reason why Ron DeSantis only invites Fox News to lob softball questions to him at his announcements of historical steps towards less freedom. It's also why they're the only "media" at his performances where he plays the role of person that cares about working class/middle class people (he barely pretends to care about poor people). In these performances he's uses his Frank Abagnale level skill for the grift to convince certain groups of people he's on their side, while he stabs them, strait in the side. He didn't let his Ivy League education go to waste. He used it to hone his craft of the grift to the point where people thank him as he's right in the middle of screwing them over. He is one of the most effective liar's in politics, in part through talent but also due to the Republicans war on education. He has no conscience, integrity or desire for the United States to even appear to prosper while his party is not in power. He is the town grifter/griper creating rifts & culture wars in every town within his campaigns periphery. He is the quintessential Maga Fascist who has potential to create chaos dwarfing the division, ignorance and hatred he has already perpetuated. I can't help but see echos of the Brown Shirts in his agenda with him having the ability inflict massive damage that our country & even world might not be able to recover from if he is able to progress much further down his path of insatiable lust for power.

Yeah man I feel for you, all the sheriff had to say about Chicago while going through his list "I think that speaks for itself" and folks literally laughed. Had an aunt & uncle that lived up there and while I was a kid and they would talk about how lovely their part of it was along with a good bit of the rest of the area but any time someone brought up the crime issues (this was the 80s) my uncle would say something about it's not really that bad so long as stay out of the bad parts of town which I guess back then people knew where that was. 2 years before he died (he knew he didn't have long because it cancer & we're now in the 90s) he moved them back down to the tiny south GA town my aunt was from and even though it was away from her kids, grandkids and friends all he had to say about it was that he wouldn't be able to RIP if he didn't get her out of there. They were in a very well to do neighborhood but the criminal elements were not only right outside their gates but was spilling over the fences that were basically decorative. Children would slip through the gaps in the fence and snatch purses, packages, etc and run back to the fence and throw the goods over the fence to someone waiting on the other side so even if you caught the kid because he didn't get through the fence fast enough you still didn't get your stuff back and then the kids stopped running because they would arm themselves with knives and some times guns. A couple of neighbors got hurt after they left and Uncle Jim said that he knew that he made the right decision. 30 years later and it's even worse. smh. I hate to think of some of the stuff you've seen for yourself or through family & friends. It should be one of America's crown jewels.

Topic I don't hear discussed is how difficult being a correctional officer is. We need immediate punishment for disrespecting correction officers and likewise strong controls for officers to respect, respectful prisoners. We need lower security Jails so that common criminals know they are serving time (think POW camps). If the prison punishment is swift and sure, a significant percent of criminals will self police and the prison experience may be more of a rehabilitative experience than the current chamber of horrors. We need a revolution in our Criminal Justice system.

If you truly knew what you would be required to do, as a sovereign predator (cop). I would hope your upbringing of values, morals, and common sense of what is right, and wrong would help you realize that becoming a sovereign predator is NOT a noble career. There is a valid reason why the police have such a horrible reputation in this day & age, and that reason is self inflected. With phones having the capability of video, and being an honest objective of what is truly happening in the moment with live streaming. We now see how corrupt & ignorant our government employees truly are. We didn't have this technology when i was a teen. Just imagine if we did have this technology in the 60's, & 70's. Over the years, police department's have learned that policing can become a huge profitable business, by violating citizens that are weak, uneducated, and poor, thus not being able to defend themselves when the po po prey's on you. Policing has become a profitable business, and "we the people" have become the "cash cow", even though "we the people" already pay them. In short, you pay for the police to violate you. I feel like Judd is _honestly_ on the side of the people. It's very refreshing...and particularly nice because the local sheriff has a big impact on the local safety. He's stuck up for people who've defended themselves with firearms, he's gone after criminals who were making life for everyone else difficult, and he's put a lot of work into the more difficult things. Any dept. can write speeding tickets, but he's consistently going after pedo's (in stings), gangs, etc. You know, _actual_ police work.

Love how my city of Portland just happens to be at the top of your list. Hate how the city I used to love has become almost unliveable. How untreated mental illness and addiction runs rampant with people constantly screaming bloody murder right outside of my first floor windows, scaring me and my German Shepherd Dog. How one scary, angry man yelled at me and chased us all the way home as I walked my dog- him insisting that my dog was actually his dog. How I've had to call 911 several times over the past couple of years to report violence, fires, a scary, angry man chasing myself and my dog. In the past decades I'd called exactly once- to report an automobile accident in which someone was badly hurt. My neighborhood was once clean and safe. Now it's dirty and scary and I'm seriously thinking about moving to a safer place.

You should move.

@@alpal87 ...thinking about it most seriously. Just started a job I like- as a patrol security officer, so it might take some time. I want to move out of state but I'm thinking about moving to the much safer suburbs or some smaller town around here.

@Florida Violets No thanks. Portland is bad enough.

Try Tennessee. Lowest property taxes, lowest car insurance rates, open carry. No homeless on streets permitted. Good luck. It makes Florida and Texas look liberal.

Andrew Warren, (and every state attorney doing the same), ought to be apprehended and charged with multiple counts of "criminal conspiracy to aid and abet" for each criminal action he sought to ignore.

Well citizens need to stop being cowards and organize and stand up! Otherwise we will all watch our children starve to death. Wake up cowards

Warren was busy solving 2 rape/murder court cases instead of putting women getting abortions into jail. Gotta get those murderers too!

Judd is what you call a true Sheriff. If all law enforcement officials were like him, this country would have less crime.

I’m so happy to be living in the free state of Florida where life is celebrated, law enforcement has the authority to do their jobs and where we have the greatest governor in all the land!

@Bahodi Zafa Sarcasm and intentional hyperbole doth prove potent weapons against misinformation and blatant demonizing for political gain. Thanks mate...now America may resume maintaining the highest rate of incarceration in the world. Cheers

@Bahodi Zafa hyperbole much? Why must you go off the deep end? Check your feelings and think more logical. It does wonders and you may drop a medication or two in the process. Best of luck to you.
