Pollen filter replacement and air con cleaning using and air con bomb on a mk5 golf

Just a quick video on how I go about clearing a car's air conditioning system and replacing the pollen filter.
It's a process I follow with great success and generally something I do every time I change car.
This was performed on a Mk5 R32 Golf.
Step 1 - Replace pollen filter
Step 2 - Start car
Step 3 - Set air con to recirculation and full fan speed
Step 4 - Set off air con bomb / cleaner
Step 5 - Air the car / leave to ventilate
Step 6 - (optional) after around a week, replace the pollen filter again, just incase it has caught any bacteria from the cleaning process
Just a quick video for fun. Not a bad effort after partially recovering from man flu and being out the night before!

Does it matter which order it's been done? Because I've done the replacement of pollen filter first then the bomb and the kilm cleaner

Ah not massively. It's more if you are killing off any bacteria it can get caught in the new filter. Real world leave it to the next service or change it when you can.

Does the temperature of the air con matter ? Shouldnt it be on the hottest setting?

Interestingly manufacturers of the air con cleaners differ on whether it should matter. I agree with you, if your controls allow it full heat.

I'm just about to to this with a product called K2 Klima Doktor, it does have the foam and the spray, I'm waiting for the new cabin filter to be delivered and I wonder whether the order of the 3 steps matter. I guess my original filter isn't in a good shape as my blower blows some used socks smell especially when the A/C isn't on just the fans. Any recommendations?
