I aspire to have a garden like that. I just need to slow down and not try to do all at once. 😁

What a wonderful collection of plants! I had to take lots of screenshots! Thanks for labeling, it will help me research. Do they have to do much weeding in a perennial border that densely planted? I might consider planting one for the pollinators if I could pack it out with plants that I grew from seed and not have to spend a lot of time to maintain. Thanks for the tour!
@JimPutnam4 жыл бұрын
It initially takes lots of weeding. After a couple of seasons a lot less
@Graycat17354 жыл бұрын
@@JimPutnam ok, thanks. I have a shade garden that the plants all grew together and there aren't many weeds, so I kind of thought that might be the case with a sunny border, too.

Thanks so much for tour. The perfect pollinated garden. I'm a novice, so I'm always curious about how many plants make up a large spray, and how close is too close,etc..

Great video & garden. Please include the importance of larval food sources in gardens. This garden had fennel which is a larval food source for swallowtails as is dill & parsley I believe. Also the asclepias is a food source for monarch caterpillars. Gotta feed the pillars to get butterflies.

0:52 San Carlos Salvia I wish people planted more salvias in their gardens. Pollinators love salvias and they look great. Plus they are rabbit and deer resistant.

I suggest you add this question as a comment to the most recent Q &A video. I think this could be a good discussion given the challenges with many cultivars with powdery mildew which to my understanding can vary regionally...
