Chris Stapleton was also in a band called the Jompson Brothers. They have some good songs like On the Run & Barely Alive. The Steeldrivers is a bluegrass band--you should listen to their song If It Hadn't Been For Love.

@@terriertz5134 the same group of folks that owned all the slave ships the same people that consolidated than eradicated the native Indian the same people that fought on the side of a war to keep slavery instituted in this country. I,too, was shocked that Chris was in this and. I recall that Adele gave a shoutout to them in one of her concerts. You mentioned that you like blues and folk music. May I suggest that you give Rhiannon Giddens a listen. I suggest these two: I’m On My Way and Louisiana Man to start. React if you want but, that’s your call. Her catalog is wonderful and her story is even better. I enjoy your reactions and I’m certain it will be there if you give her a try. Thanks, keep it real, Polo!

The Steeldrivers are still making great Bluegrass music. Chris sang with them from 2008 to 2010. You'd probably like "If It Hadn't Been For Love" by Chris & Mike Henderson) & "Midnight Train To Memphis" (by Chris) In 2010 he founded a Southern Rock group called The Jompson Brothers. (Nobody in the band was named Jompson.). Listen to "Barely Alive" from that time. (But listen to it Live from The Bing Lounge.) They toured regionally until 2013. In 2013 Chris released his 1st solo, "What Are You Listening To?". Equally amazing - go all the way back to Sandy Beaches (songwriting) Cruise 12, 2011 & hear "Fool Me Again" (by Chris & Al Anderson) & "Treat You Right" (by Chris).

She say's it's Blue Grass ,she should know she's traditional Metis...similar music from a mix race Indigenous/French or other Indigenous/mix, like Cajun in the south and you hear similar in the Appalachians.
