@@kdaqueenfobbs3303 What isn't working for ya sweetie? Doing polygels can be a bit tedious in the beginning. But practice makes perfect! Once you get the hang of knowing how much gel to squeeze out, it all becomes as easy as squeezing toothpaste on your toothbrush. Also, mind how much pressure you use to place & press your nail. Follow Sharon's steps. She makes it look so easy!

Could you plz do a video of how to do a fill with the polygel? Or do you just take them off and do a new set. If so how? Do you soak them off? I am wanting to start using polygel because I love all the differnt things you can do and also because of Covid and the fact that I am paying $40 every 2 weeks for just a acrylic fill. No polish just the fill. I paint and design and bling my own nails. So I really want to start doing this myself. For what I pay at the salon I could buy a new polygel set every 2 weeks.

I ordered mine on the 16th and it came in today. I'm home following this tutuorial and so far I did my pinky nail. It looks so cool and i cant believe it was just that simple to do. But I do have 1 question, as I was watching other girls on youtube give tutorials they were saying we(as beginners) need 1 layer of primer and one layer of base coat. Well considering the fact that this kit ONLY comes with the base coat and YOU on the video did not say it was necessary to use a primer AND a base coat I'm wondering IF the base coat IS CONSIDERED the primer and we are fine using just the base coat that is provided in this kit.???🤔🤔🤔 really confused hope YOU OR ANYONE sees this soon and can help with this question. (I should be receiving my electric drill file like the pros in the nail salons have by tomorrow afternoon so IF I have to take them off just to do a separate "primer" AND "base coat" then I will be able to do so.🤷🏾‍♀️🤔

Hi Bianca, thank you for choosing Astound Beauty and following our videos. Primer is mainly used as the first step of the manicure to remove any oil on your nail bed, so the base coat would adhere to your nail bed better, your polygel nails will last longer. It’s not required, but if you have oily skin, the primer would definitely help your nails last longer. If you don’t have it on hands it’s ok too, just use the combination of nail acetone and isopropyl alcohol to replace it. The main point is to make sure the nail bed is oil and water free.

@@AstoundBeauty oh fabulous! Good to know!👍🏾 I did try the whole thing out last night anyways and i was so nervous. I'm right handed and I feel like I did a BETTER job working with my LEFT hand to do my right, 😄😄 (however being so nervous and following your dos and don'ts video, I ended up making some of the mistakes coincidentally AS you were speaking about them 1st one not putting enough polygel by the cuticle(so now I have a bit of a lift on 3 of the nails) 2nd one not putting enough polygel on the duraform nails so its pretty shallow on the sides of the nails on BOTH hands. And 3rd one, both ring fingers i experienced excess product squishing out the back 😖😥 BUT my electric drill file came in the mail today so I can file them down correctly and evenly. I work in a warehouse so I anticipated i would break the thinnest one before the day is out but so far so good the stuff is sturdier than I imagined✊🏾👍🏾😎❤️😁 I'm impressed and cant wait to get more practice. Great stuff! Keep up the good work!

Is it really important to wipe the sticky layer off the base coat, before applying the polygel? I never new to do that..?

not really, just the sticky layer would stick on some hairs or something really small which is kinda annoying, but other than that you should be fine.

Use rubbing alcohol.. anything 70% and up works the same

You can use rubbing alcohol like Raven said, or just use base coat as slip solution, that would work as well.

I've tried everything alcohol and it didn't work sorry for complaining but it's something that I'm not doing right I guess I'm just going to by the one that has everything lamp and slip solution I'm so disappointed I followed the steps and it is not hard to follow I just don't have everything that comes with it

Try mixing lil gel polish with poly gel an remember keep brush clean as you go with a dip dish with alcohol an paper towel I tried it on a fake nail first its kinda like thick polish it will help you control it better an cure each layer i hope you get the hang of it 🙏🏽
