As a Ukrainian, once I saw 2 young teen kids turn on the Dora song on a staircase in a flat. Because of the Soviet architecture, there was insane echo. So some college-aged person like 5 floors higher turned it on even louder. Should have mentioned movies. Film library in Russian language is simply huge. Up until Spielberg generation I'd say Soviet cinema was easily on a par with Hollywood and was top 2 film industry in the world until USSR collapse. Modern Russian cinema sucks but it is getting better.
