A bit of a long tutorial. Sorry about that.
Christmas Swirl beads made into earrings.
I used Sculpey Premo Pearl for that lovely sparkle and added Cad Red
and basic Green clay.
Hope you like it

Hey Irene, these beads are beautiful, I definitely will try with different color blends. I’m not a big fan of beading; I used to watch Susan from Turtlesoupbeads but since she moved on I lost interest in that aspect. I do however have an interest in wire wrapping my polymer clay pieces. I think that brings the jewelry up another level. The other thing I would love to see you do is have a KZbin channel on how to make glass beads, that is a fascinating process. Thanks for your willingness to share your expertise and learning process, you’re pleasant to listen to and to learn from. No drama! Yay!

I also bought an industrial buffer from Harbor Freight. Like you, I’ve also got issues with my hands thereby - my pieces sometimes fly out of my hands. To fix that I set my buffer inside a cardboard box. I set the box on its side and cut a hole into the side, it’s possible to attach a shop vac so I can get all the dust filtering there. It was a game changer for me. And I love the shine!

I have a good tip for you : when you polish those beads , you are way better off, polishing like lapidary polish their cabochons: take a small rod in wood or metal, preferably with one end being a bit wider ( like a big nail ) put soma kind of sticky putty on it ( unbaked modeling clay, or something else that is a bit more sturdy and does not damage your bead . That way you have much more control over your polishing , and a better feel how hard and where you are polishing. You move and turn the bead and not the power tool . I guarantee ( if the putty keeps the bead steady enough on the rod ) that you will have much better results, control and enjoy the polishing 👍 you can polish very small objects like that too 😊

I’m a jewelry header too. I know Potomac bead company. But my favorite jewelry person is bronze pony jewelry. She makes beautiful jewelry and explains how to make them so easy to follow. I was doing that before I started with clay. Haven’t done any since but check her out.

With your hands hurting - they sell a dremel stand that helps me a great deal. I put my beads on a piece of clay and pull down and it drills straight, and when sanding and buffing I am able to move just the bead and not hold the dremel. Big help! Also I add a little Renaissance wax to get that even shine. Really enjoyed your video.

I hope you keep doing the clay….I love it and you’re so talented! I agree…too many unboxing vids. I’m just getting into wire wrapping which you can make some incredible pieces. I would definitely subscribe to your jewelry channel if you go that route.😉. Still watching your vid😀. Those lentils turned out great!

Went to bed sick, still not great but I'm lying on the sofa watching your videos and relearning some techniques I've almost forgotten. I've always loved making lentil beads but I'd forgotten how to do the swirl like this! Thanks so much! BTW when I first learned how to do them I couldn't stop! I made tons not even thinking of what I would do with them! They were addictive!

Thank you so much for breaking down the different ways to get varying effects on swirl beads!! I’ve not seen anyone do this before. I loved the 1/2 & 1/2 effect and those turned out beautifully as earrings. Also, I will definitely look for your videos on the jewelry making. Hopefully it will inspire me to do more jewelry making and be less intimidated by it. I am in the midst of reorganizing my art room with the intent of having a full winter of clay creating and doing more turning my finished pieces into something wearable😁 Loved the video❣️ Thank you for sharing with all of us ❤️🤍💚

@@TheCreativeDork5 I have way too much, too, and I agree, time to stop procrastinating on my end, too. I mean how threatening can it it be- so I make an ugly piece, it’s not gonna kill me 🤣😁 And I do relate to so many things that you talk about, sometimes it’s uncanny.

We can always take it apart if we think it's ugly right? I hate the waste but.... How expensive is it? So let's go for it, both of us.

Hello, I hope you are having a good day. I'm fairly new to polymer clay and enjoy your videos and different techniques. I'm curious as to what your second channel name is on KZbin? I would also like to be able to know how I may find your Amazon store? I do not see a link in the details of this video. I'd really wish you well and thank you for your time.😊

Hello, can you please tell me in which tutorial you demonstrated the use of chrome mirror powders to finish off your clay jewelry edges? You also showed in the video the making of a wave pattern on one of the pieces. Thank you.
