Could graphene propogated throughout the mixture increase tensile strength? Maybe mixing a nylon reaction with this one? Overall the strength is the best I've seen on anything so far, but to hold weight it needs to be almost impossibly strong lol... Let me know what you think of those ideas!
@begreateryourself90874 жыл бұрын
unfortunately chemistry is unlike cooking graphene you have to bond with pmma in order to use it as a source, but graphene is inert so if you can't make a bond, if you add graphene to this formula, you will only get stupid rope with black particles so there is no improvement maybe graphene oxide can work
@grahamgrecian13324 жыл бұрын
@@begreateryourself9087 that's a terrific point. However, I do believe dissolved nylon mixed with this formula would retain fireability and increase strength. Correct?
@begreateryourself90874 жыл бұрын
@@grahamgrecian1332 It can work again depends on the chemical structure, but I think it could bond with PMMA because there are reactive groups in nylon that can make hydrogen bonding.The main question is how will you solve the nylon The brain is talking about the ion video, but ultimately this formula is a foam, do not expect anything, it will be very weak again.

Now I am absolutely no chemist. But I’m just curious, what if we added small fibers of some kind into the webs? How we’d achieve this I’ve no idea, but think about it, how do ropes work? They’re made up of small fibers interconnected and moved together to increase tensile strength. Studies were done on spiders where the arachnids were sprayed down with carbon nano tubes, and while most died, some somehow incorporated them into their webs increasing they’re strength dramatically. I’m sure this is more difficult than the concept is to describe, but it’s a start.
