This whole album so far has felt like Tim said, you know what Scott, you take the lead this time. And Scott has been blowing out of the fucking water every single track. NO ONE has any right to say that Tim overshadows Scott after this album. Scott is on a level with Tim. And I think this album is Tim’s way of saying he knows it. He takes such a background role outside of intros and hooks through everything so far. Ego death is appropriate. He could easily take the road of thinking he IS the band, like so many talented but egotistical guitarists have before. But no, this song feels like his way of saying he’s part of a group that makes beautiful music, he’s not the only important member.
@EthanRom2 жыл бұрын
Tim respects the whole band, they recently cancelled a show cause Clay their drummer got injured and they said only Clay could plays those parts and they wouldn't be able to do the show without him.

One of the only times I’ve seen Scott smile like that while he plays. He looks genuinely happy when he hits those pop/soul/funky notes in his first solo here.

Honestly, Nasty was my favorite for a long time, but this one is really starting to replace that. This song is just so epic in scale, and builds to such a fantastic climax that it's hard not to take notice of just how far Polyphia have come. They've reached the top, and are accompanied by legends such as Steve Vai. They were even just featured, with Steve, on the cover of Guitar World Magazine. I swear, it seems like everything these guys touch turns to gold, and it is amazing to watch. I have tickets for their Dallas show next April and I am beyond excited! Loved the reaction btw, you got a new sub!

Can we all get together and make this the world's anthem right now? These musicians came together and created something inspiringly beautiful. Every comment and reaction video made about this song and video has been a joy to read. Something really positive has been created and shared with us all, and we all agree that it is great. Incredible writing all around. I'm discovering new sounds (percussion this time) with every listen. Oh yea, great channel man. I hit that button like 3 min in. And, hey, I'm with you on that "too early in the morning" comment. I still haven't fully processed this song to where I can say I understand it, and I've heard it about 30 times. Fantastic!

Saucy, Icronic, The Worst, and most recently Playing God. Until this one dropped. Ego Death is my current fave lol. Album drops Oct 28. The trumpet is from Brasstracks, who feature on the first song Genesis. Ego Death is the last track. So the album begins and ends with Ian’s trumpet. Also, the album is called Remember that you will die, and the tracks go from Genesis to Ego Death. Interesting meaning implied there 😊
