I think that even after seeing Snake she didn't fully realize the extent, but the ingrained memory of the best opening in the MGS series really pushed over the edge that yes, MGS3 remake is real

I've been largely immovable by remakes and nostalgia marketing, but this one actually stirs something in me. I remember doing zero kill zero alert extreme mode (or whatever the highest difficulty level was) speed runs of Snake Eater in my dorm room as a sophomore in college. Think the best I managed was 2 hours, but that was just me doing my best by myself with no help from the internet. It's been a while, but between this and Armored Core vi, I feel like there's something to actually look forward to in gaming that I haven't felt since Anthem let me down.
