Hit the ball at the highest point. It's important to hit the ball early. Because the new falls earlier. So u can attack easier with your forehand and don't have problems with no spin balls. Don't do long moves. U haven't that much than the attacker. Stand lower. U are big guy. Train your thighs. You are too slow. Train your speed(footwork).Train different movements like Sidesteps, side jump or crossstep. But there is also a mental thing. If u are defender, u must use every opportunity to attack. Don't do this fishing shots. Too easy for attacker.

Great work! Are you going to incorporate the forehand chop into your game, or will you remain with a basic forehand return? I’m a learning defender trying to take it up as my main play style, so the forehand chop is something I try to improve a lot.
@Roboyt172 жыл бұрын
Forehand chop is an important and fun thing to do, but if you can you should definitely counter loop the ball, because the defensive style ( modern defender) defends until there is an opportunity to attack. You won't win a lot of games if you're just gonna defend the entire game

Well you have improved a lot but. Move your feet all the time and stay low to the ground this will imrove your concistensie. Do a larger movment when you defend start at the hight of your hat with the racket and end at the hight of your knees this will give you more power and the ball should land on the wight line. Try to chop with the normal rubber when you are over the table or when your oponent chopps. So Otto wont be able to hit the ball as hart and when he topspins you receve more quality so it is less difficult
@zack-pi2gu3 жыл бұрын
