As always.....NICE WORK! As a lifelong Michigan resident I feel the pain. Its given me plenty of practice with my cutting tools and Miller Sidekick. One day I hope to deal with rust as calmly as you appear to.

Thank you Sir! - MN winters calm me a lot - I have plenty of time to do it right!! You can only ski, ice fish (if that is your thing) and play hockey so much. Have to spend lots of quality time in the garage!

Second video I've came across randomly while digging around for fiero project I'm bought. Time to sub and just watch all the videos lol

Glad to see you fix it right. Too many people try to just bandaid it instead of properly fix it.

Here from Michigan as well. I had three Fiero's, '84, '85, and '86 GT. Didn't keep them long enough to rust but I sure miss them all. Nice job brother!

Winter cars in the rust belt take a beating that's for sure!

I am very lucky that there is no rust anywhere like that on my car. Good luck

I know this is off topic of the video but I figured I’d asked on a recent one. I was wondering what parts you bought to swap to e-85, ie. fuel pump and injectors. I plan on doing this swap soon as well.

Siemens Deka 60 injectors, deatsch werks fuel pump and a little tuning are the bigger items. Replace all rubber hose with ethanol compatible hose.

This is going to be me with my Indy Fiero. It’s so much more rusty than that. 😢

37 years will do that! - My fiero was rehabbed 15 years ago as well.

Oh, this is round two. The major major surgery was done 15 years ago, this is a follow up consultation...lol

I've had worse...
@Toys4Life3 жыл бұрын
Agreed - there are a lot worse ones out there and in fact I restored this very same chassis 15 years ago and that was a take the entire car apart, tip the space frame over to do the areas under the rockers & involved total upper rear rail rebuilding, some floor work, battery tray area reconstruction, cradle sandblast and paint etc. This is just a 15 year later flare up.

@@Toys4Life Not bad for 15 years then. I was wondering why the whole frame was the wrong color
@Toys4Life3 жыл бұрын
@@rwdplz1 Good observation sir. Since the lower frame rails are galvanized, 15 years ago I sprayed them with Rust-Oleum galvanized spray, hoping that wood stick better because paint generally doesn't like to stick to galvanized coating for more than a couple years. I'd say it's done a pretty good job. You don't really see the color once the car's back on the ground in the inner wheel wells are in.
