The wall would have collapsed easier if the pony was an appropriate height and weight for that fence. Hard to blame the fence here, but I'm glad the pony and rider had a good outcome!

Yes, I wouldn't blame the fence. It was a sturdy wall, but collapsible. Puissance classes always seem to end up inappropriately sized for the pony or horse! :/

Yeah, I know. The pony is 14.1hh and the jump was 150cm. :/

The pony is OK. She is slightly lame and on box rest for a week with bute for three days. Today (three days after fall) she has been turned out in a small paddock for a few hours. The osteopath is coming to check her back. The rider (sister) could not bend/move her back properly after the fall. The day after the fall she went to hospital for tests/x-rays where she fainted and was unconscious for about a minute. Her back could take 12 weeks to recover. No broken bones. (No body protector!) Had two days off school.

if they used better collaspable material for the jump, it wouldn't have taken so long to collapse. I hope the team is not badly injured. This is bad materials used.

me who notices most of them happen when the jumps to big it also happens is show jumping if the horses legs gets stuck between the pole in oxers or sum is u have a horse/ pony and u don't make them jump massive and sorts its feet out ur all good to go^^

Yeah night prince don't say sport like 'sport' horse riding is a sport....... But people don't use it at a sport.... Well most of the time..... But, it's about bonding with the horse! Trust and companionship! U need to have total confidence a DETERMINATION to do horse riding!

First the fence was wayyyyy too big for the pony. Second the pony was not trained enough for that jump but if it had more training and was a bit bigger it could probably get over the jump but obviously the pony can’t just grow 5 hands
