I just started playing Nioh 2 a couple of days ago here in 2024. Your guides have helped a lot. My character is only about level 25 so I don’t have a lot of skills unlocked yet but you have turned me into a Twin Moon enjoyer

Oh my god , thunderbolt is probably awesome with the onmyo magic that negates a single attack

Thunderbolt may be the first skill I've ever seen that actively supports a tank build. In any other case without increased damage somehow or utility, going Tank just means "I'm still going to loose a fight I was never going to win, I'm just going to loose it much, MUCH /slower/." God the abilities in this game are AMAZINGLY well designed, creative, and interesting. Thank you for these advanced weapon guides. You're really pumping them out and they're truly fascinating works of insight.

Swirling snow is fun. Worth the farm for people who aren't action game gods like Poofer.

It drops off in damage really fast. Like there's 10+ more effective ways to attack but no other way is more consistent for guard breaks bc it bugs the AI and they tend to block soam

I might’ve missed it in the video but I’m pretty sure you can also attack out of undaunted if it is right after blocking an enemy hit, not just dodging. So waiting till end of combo or enemy’s weapon bouncing back and then countering is viable as well.

Waking Winds Heaven guided me through most of the yokais on my first playthrough. Against yokai, i start with low stance quick then WWH to high stance heavy, preshift to low stance then dodge ( running water man ). I used this to read and kite most of the yokais.

Imagine if undaunted used a secondary input to do the retrograde flow thing after you block

Or the vault skill from low stance. Both would fit into the existing animation really well.

the problem with waking winds is that odachi heavy combos have fewer hits than the light attacks (high stance 1, mid 2), combined with the fact that waking winds will never send you into hit 1 of the combo, only 2 or 3 (except for high stance which only has 1) based on how many attacks you did beforehand. Add to that the total lack of heavy attack combo enders, and using waking winds is basically a dead end where you can't attack anymore :( compared to sunset breeze which will allow you to use more than just 1 light attack and THEN your usual combo enders

cuckoos call hard counters shibatas rushes as long as you get the timing even remotely close to right for anyone who struggled with him the first time as much as i did, AND it usually breaks a horn/tusk so he stops doing it

Which secondary weapon in your opinion synergizes best with Odachi, with remodeling taken into account? I'm thinking fists
