Glad all the adept lessons are coming out at the moment :)

Thanks so much for this. I've played kusarigama almost the entire time and it was a little stale, but there's actually so much I haven't tried. This rules!

Bladespin in nioh 1 was stupid strong by default, but what made it ridiculous was when you ran it with the Dragon Ninja set bonus and the mystical art for the kusa blade. It could almost one shot enemies in WotN, maybe it could, my build wasn't min/maxed.

I was thinking, hey maybe I should get into the kurasigama and maybe I won't think its like pushing a brick through mud. Then this came out. Awesome. Speaking of which what armor sets do you recommend with kurasigama

Depends on the difficulty and what your playstyle is tbh. When you hit Dream of the Wise and can mess around with the Ethereal graces, you can almost literally pick whatever you want and it'll work out beautifully.

Another great Kusarigama guide. What are those shortcuts anyone know? Are those feathers?
@PooferLlama Жыл бұрын
Going Left to Right: Umbral Bullet, Exorcist Blades, and Flame Dragon. They're basically lifted from Ninja Gaiden and put into Nioh 2 as Ninjutsu. And, they can be obtained in DLC 2 as drop from Ren Hayabusa.

Trying this out in nioh 1. Kusa is definitely not as intuitive as the other weapons in its pressure options but the moveset feels fun to play with. It’s a nice change from dual swords. They’re so so boring lol.

I’m very new to the game so apologize for the noob question and even lack of knowledge on skill name. I use this weapon similar to you, where I would deadly mark to start off against Yokai but the heavy attack pull (hold down heavy) on humans because it does pull them. However, if I miss or it’s block the recovery time is horrific. You cancel like a boss. I’m wondering how in general and if you can cancel out of that pull if it is blocked or missed?
@PooferLlama Жыл бұрын
Great question! I typically use Yokai Abilities or the Burst Counter to cancel. It's a massive game changer :)

A little late but you can also throw out a feather jutsu and still ki pulse because of how long the recovery is

I try to watch these videos but I just don't know any moves by name nor do I even do much else other than square, square, square then triangle. Nonetheless, I'm gonna try to actually use weapons properly, but I go by the buttons not the names, so it makes these lessons a bit tricky to process lol
@PooferLlama3 жыл бұрын
My apologies. Nioh does have a ton of names to remember...on top of a bajillion mechanics to remember. It's certainly not easy to memorize but with practice you'll get it down. It took me ages to get the Switchglaive moves down because half of them end with "Retribution" lol
@satyasyasatyasya57463 жыл бұрын
@@PooferLlama No worries, its fine haha I'll figure something out. Its wierd having to put so much effort into 'learning' these things; its only a game after all but since its kinda outside my comfort zone gamewise, I figure it may has well be a bit of a challenge/project thing for myself. I suspect I'll resort to sticky notes on the side of the screen to remember things lol
@SaviorATimus3 жыл бұрын
@@satyasyasatyasya5746 honestly, learning and mastering becomes half the fun. Even if it's just a game trying all these new tricks to get to the high levels feels fun

@@SaviorATimus True, but I'm just coming from a place of 'gamer guilt' if that makes sense. Like, it feels odd to try so hard for or work towards something, that just doesn't matter in the big picture of the world lol Like, nobody will care and it won't help anyone, if I get good at Nioh 2 but I still kinda want to haha
@toffe093 жыл бұрын
@@satyasyasatyasya5746 Maybe.. Perhaps it will help you grow in some capacity, and in turn add something to the "big picture"? I mean at least you're activating your brain, having it solve something instead of just laying down while getting fed with entertainment. Personally I don't think I've ever felt that way, I just figured nothing really mattered anyway. I'll just do whatever I can to make this world enjoyable for me. Maybe a bit ego but f it, I never asked for any of this so why should I be in debt? : )

Is there a reason you have your soul cores match your anima type?

In the Shiftling skill tree, Dragon's Echo III provides a 10% anima refund if you match the soul core color with the guardian type.

When do you use crimson flurry and when do you use basic high stance light attack?
@PooferLlama3 жыл бұрын
I find that crimson flurry is more a pressure play and it also tends to inflict statuses more readily. but, its really a matter of preference. theres no real right or wrong answer as to when to use one move versus another.
@aiellamori3 жыл бұрын
This is probably very late, but I love using deadly mark into crimson flury, with poison on deadly mark and paralysis on crimson flury. It's so good against anything because of the high ki damage and barrage of attacks. If you end up paralyzing a human, if you haven't already broken their ki, you'll get a free grapple after as well, while they're poisoned. It's really strong
