Hey Poof! As a fellow Mach bike user, I truly think that the Dolphin Dasher is a better bike for Banana Cup, purely because of the offroad stat. You were correct that the Mach bike is slippery on ice and is significantly slowed by the water in Shy Guy Beach, whereas the dolphin dasher is less slippery and more consistent with speed through those tracks. I spent weeks struggling exactly where you were, so I hope this helps!

Sorry im a bit late but here are some tips for ya mate. 1. Wheelie frequently when you are at straights 2. When an item hits you, do a SSMT (Stand Still Mini Turbo). This will make you go back to full speed instantaneously. 3. USE A DAMN NUNCHUK FFS. IT MAKES THE GAME EASIER. 4. get good. Jk, all I recommend is maybe using Funky Kong with Flame runner (which you unlock when you unlock 4 expert staff bots in Time Trial). 5. Be sure to use a bike with good off road stats on Banana Cup since the majority of the tracks are offroad in banana. Edit: Also be sure to chain drift a lot on courses with big turns like in Lightning cup.

I’m not sure why MKWii is so hard to perfect compared to the other games in the series - there’s actually an entire separate system outside of the race results that determines your rank for the cup. Each track has a ranking system based on time, with better times getting you closer to three stars. Things usually associated with “bad driving” (driving in off-road, getting hit by items, falling off the track, etc.) add a penalty to that time and lower the rank. Playing well (hitting other players with and/or using certain items, getting high placements in the race, etc.) add a bonus that removes time and boosts your rank. All together, not only do you need to win all the races, you need to play perfectly be the game’s standards (which is not the best strategy to win races more often than you’d think) and pray that you don’t get bombarded with random red and blue shells. I tried for a good 5 years off and on and only managed to get 2 stars on everything.

The reason why your bike is so slow is because it has a low offroad stat which causes it to slow down in the water then it also has a low acceleration stat so it takes a while to get back to normaly speed

There's easter eggs. Any character you beat the game with will sometimes appear at the title screen and introduce the game with, "[Character Name] Kart Wii." Unless it's Bowser, he just roars. Edit: It's amazing how often you get pissed at the game for your lack of skill, timing, and incompetence, and then blame the game. There were many situations where you got pissed, blamed the game, and I could easily tell yhat no, it was in fact your fault. Maybe just get better at the game and improve?
